Joined a Chelsea team that finished 8th, and won the title) MC: Yaya Toure (Jamie said it, a man playing with kids at times. Absolute colossus) MC: Silva (I'd actually prefer De Bruyne, but I appreciate what Silva has done in the last 10 years, so has to be in) LW: Hazard (I just loved watching this guy play, so easy on the eye, and got the goals/assists to go along with it) RW: Salah (62 goals & 22 assists in 98 games compared to Bale's 42 goals & 20 assists in 148 games edged Salah for me) ST: Suarez (Aguero doesn't deserve to be left out, but when Suarez was in the league for 3.5 years, he was always better than Aguero)

@@kld2032 why is that deluded? De Gea 5 times PL goalkeeper of the year compared to Schmeichel's 1. Sure, Schmeichel had a better career overall but he was never as exposed as De Gea, and De Gea has pulled off quality saves that I never saw Schmeichel make. Don't get me wrong, I used to say Schmeichel was the greatest of my era of watching football (since 1995ish) so fair enough if you still think he was better, but to say I'm deluded for thinking De Gea has usurped him is a fairly ignorant statement to make.

When he came back, whilst he was still good, he wasn't anywhere near as good as he was before his injury, so he didn't quite make it into my post 2010 team. A peak Vidic (2007-2011) would probably have gotten in, though.

I go with Jamie Vardy. He won the title with the foxes as underdogs, and he keeps up good stats for the 4th year (and he had a mediocre+ season with 13 goals and 6 assists inbetween), and still in an underdog team. You could also argue van Persi, but he also won only one PL title, in a far better team stacked with stars.

This idea that van Dijk has been poor has to stop. He's still been excellent but you can't let a couple of gaffes blind you on his otherwise consistent performances. Every great player has made (bigger) mistakes every season. Also he has been great for 5 years at Soton and now Liverpool. His years at Southampton is being so easily disregarded it's astonishing. It's almost like nobody can be a good player if they don't play for a Top 4 side. He was great and consistent. Enough for LFC to pay £75m for him only for him to prove how good he was by continuing his amazing form at Liverpool. He didn't suddenly become good when he joined Liverpool. Smh

Mane, salah, Robertson, Allison all hit different levels don’t act like he was a great centre back at Southampton cos he wasn’t he was making silly mistakes at Southampton which he cut out when he joined Liverpool. He’s years at Southampton and Liverpool do not warrant a place in this team. Jamie and a Gary are just placing him here because they believe he’ll go onto play this well for 5 more seasons which no one can predict.

Luke Dunford however many world class seasons u think he’s had this decade he’s still been at the top level longer than VVD who spent more time at Southampton and away from the premier league than he has at Liverpool where he’s only been at the top level for 2 seasons if u count this season so far and the half season when he first moved there. If VVD played as well as he has now back at the start of the decade and then left he wouldn’t be here. This is just recency bias

Ivanovic & Terry definitely over Zabaleta & VVD. VVD will eventually get at Terry’s level, Ivanovic was so crucial not only in league title wins but also in their European triumphs which takes him a level above Zabaleta Carragher’s team is much better

I was a bit skeptical but went and checked, Bale is one of 5 people to win the PFA player of the year award more than once (actually tied for the most) the other four guys are Henry, Ronaldo, Shearer and Hughes. That is extremely impressive.

Disagree completely. I don't know how you can just say he's an above average CB. Even this season he has been a steadying presence. Sure he's had a mistake or two in there but that happens every season for every footballer, even the best. Also VvD was outstanding even before his move to LFC. Just because he played for Southampton does not discount his greatness which he proved by progressing on it after moving to Liverpool.

I get why you would be hesitant to include a player with less than 5 years of time. However, don't act like he was not with Southampton for 3 seasons prior to Liverpool and has been one of if not the best CB during those 4 seasons.
