You could argue for Gomez as he's got so much more pace than Stam ever had, which suits today's game who tends to play with high backlines, it's not like United's defence was that solid as well on that season. 37 goals conceded.. While the midtable teams weren't as solid as today. Cole/Yorke vs Firmino.. It only depends on your preference tbh. Goalscorer, or an all-round player who can involve himself in a game without the needs of scoring a goal. Alisson on top of Schmeichel. Again,, 37 goals conceded. And alisson is way more skilled than Peter ever was. Could start a break with his throws and kicks as well as he's got some accuracy in his pass. Alisson all day. Maybe Scholes is the only certain one. But other than that, not so sure. Mane over Giggs anyday as well.
