Long ago I saw Irma Thomas and the Nevilles on the Natchez (river boat). It was packed (I think it was New Years Eve) and the boat was rockin'. They started playing Hey Pockey Way and I thought the boat would flip over!😂

This a awesome video! Thanks for posting! I grew up in new orleans and still live here so ive the Neville brothers about 500 times lol. I grew up with Art's youngest son Ian. Just so you know this is definitely not Tipitina's, this is at the fair grounds durring jazz fest. Tipitina's is a very small place uptown. I can tell this is the fair grounds ive been there a couple hundred times and been to jazz fest about 25 times. Great video though and come down to our Sweet Ole' Crescent City anytime! We have the best city in the world! They aint no place like it on this planet!

Shit you so right. Only visited 4 times, once in 1978 when I played tenor wit Herman Sherman's band for a scent Boosters parade and many years later three times before Katrina. Haven't been back since the great guest house (bestgusesthose.com on Canal where i used to stay was vandalised by your fucking city authorities ti make way for a fucking hospital. In any civilised country it would have been preserved as a perfect example of a 19th century Rooming house

I don't think it's either. Fest is over before it gets dark, even on Sunday. Also at the very end you can see someone clapping obviously up in a balcony of some sort (They did not have grandstands in 91')....so not the fairgrounds. The stage seems WAY bigger than what would be possible at Tips as well. No clue where this is from, but is' classic Nevilles in their prime. God bless them all.

This is def NOT Tips! I think it's the NO Civic Auditorium (?)...I was at this show, and the date and venue are wrong. Also caught these dudes many times at Tips, and that stage is tiny!!!
