Hi Neville, great video giving an overview of the project. Is there a video in your series which covers the process of how the various components are declared to be in an airworthy condition? Are there inspections carried out by an outside agency like the CAA?
@nevillewheeldon1693 Жыл бұрын
Hi Papa Boule, yes the CAA have been involved since the start of the restoration. The Centre as 4 registered engineers with the CAA who can singe off work as Airworthy.
@nevillewheeldon1693 Жыл бұрын
Hi Papa Boule, the CAA oversee the parts which are going to be Airworthy. Four of the engineers who work at the Centre are registered with the CAA they can pass work done by them self and work done by other engineers as Airworthy

When it's airborne will the public be allowed to go on rides For a hefty price of course ? We do that here in the states to raise funds

I was on this tour and asked Andrew that very question. They are looking at taking passengers on flights eventually, but will still keep doing the taxyruns as well 🙂

@@jazzkazz I've been watching since they started and never thought to ask Now all I have to do is wait another four years, convince them to fly to America and I'm set 👍

I think you will find the CAA rules say you can't take passengers on an aircraft not built to carry passengers. They are hoping that will change as it did with smaller aircraft like the Spitfire and Hurricane but nothing in Bombers as yet.
