NEW 14-28mm Wide/Macro Panasonic S Lens Review

Looks like a really sweet lens. I like a nice wide-angle, but I find they are hard to use well. I really need to get better at it! Love that it has a macro, again, hard to do well, but fantastic photos when you nail it. Probably a blast to use. Thanks again for the video, you are killing it.

Hey Martin! Definitely a fun little all in one lens. Sometimes wides can be too wide/fisheye style, this one feels just right. Definitely a awesome wide angle range for indoor realty photography and videography. That is a fair deal. The plastics can be forgiven for the optics and coatings

that’s a tough one, I would probably go with this Panasonic just to get a little extra wider and also having that macro capability is really nice. I have used a couple sigma art lenses before and they are extremely well built and great lenses so it’s kind of a toss up, but if you like small, lightweight and portable, this is a great lens. Looks like it’s 100 bucks off at B&H right now to! Good luck and thanks for checking out the video!

One more thing, did you find that you can successfully correct barrel distortion in video in post? I know I can do it in light room but im new to shooting film...Please let me know your thoughts!

Sigma is F/2.8 This lens is F/4.0-5.6 Whilst the extra width of the 14mm would be nice. I think I'm leaning towards the sigma so I can use it better at night and to pickup the milky way for some cool wide angle astrophotgraohy. 16mm is still pretty wide after all.
