This is a video about the new 2019 'C8' Audi A6 Avant filmed at the international media event which took place on 3/9/18 at the Audi Forum in the town of Neckarsulm which is where the A6 production line is based.
While this car was revealed at Geneva 2018, this was the first opportunity for the press to drive it and we took full advantage of this driving in hard on the country roads in the surrounding area.
We also took advantage of being able to interview Parys Cybulski who was one of the exterior designers of this striking new estate car. As you can see from the video, Parys is very passionate about his new baby and rightly so, it's a beautiful piece of design.

Much nicer than any SUV and way better looking, while remaining just as practical. 90% don't go off road so AWD quattro model avants are perfect.

Looks killer in blue, would be even better with the black optics package but in the end it’s an excellent blend of muscularity and elegance.

Parys understands design very well, he was looking for holistic design and achieved it..I must say. Compare this to the new aussie designed BMW Z4 it's an absolute mess.... well done Parys. If you look back at the old generation v10 S8, it was almost no design at all, just smooth rounded holistic shape. A truly impressive car... which spoke softly to you with its power lines in a discreet manner. I think this C8 avant will be a big seller if buyers can see the light away from silly SUV's.

Thanks Justin as always :) It's genuinely a stunner, it's got the muscle of an RS with the sleekness of the Audi 100. No surprise really as the Audi design studio boss Marc Lichte designed Mk5/6/7 Golf, the latter in particular showcased the distinctive broad shouldered style that he's been able to develop at Ingolstadt

Sorry, lowest size is 18" which is standard on Sport, 19" is standard on S line, the silver car was on 20s. Also drove a car on 21s and distinct drop off of ride quality and increased road noise. I'd order the adaptive suspension, not necessarily the air suspension. Doing a UK drive in a couple of week so be interesting to see if 20s are viable for UK roads (especially bad test route via North Oxfordshire)

Why so many people hate VW and their cars, these days?

Do they? Sales were up for Audi again in 2017 with another record year.

I see many people complaining on KZbin and other car forums about reliability, false emissions, bad costumer services, overpriced car parts and difficult engine repairs. However, most of these complains come from USA and Australia, not from Europe and I don't understand why... I think VW makes good cars. What's your opinion about this topic?

I bought my first car in 1994, a VW Polo due to their reputation for reliability. I've tried other cars since and haven't really come across a brand that can compete for build quality, value, reliability, dynamic performance and style. All cars have their problems and VW have had bad years too but generally there are fewer and what there are, are dealt with professionally. US and Australasia is dominated by domestically produced big, inefficient cars which are reliable due to their simplicity but are blunt objects, polluting the planet and not very nice to drive. Undoubtedly modern European cars will be more unreliable due to their sophistication but this comes with lots of benefits both to the driver and the environment. There will also be people who don't like European brand stealing sales from domestic producers.

Like it. Just needs the 90% tints on the rear as standard for a long looking car IMO. Don't like those under-cover police car looking radar sensors in the front grill and fake exhaust tips in the rear bumper - what are Audi thinking??

The sensors are there because one is laser and it has to have a clear view and works best at that height - they decided it's also a good way of emphasizing the high level of technology inside the car. The fake exhaust tips are nothing new, I can see both sides, just buy the RS6 which will have real ones ;)

I have a very old a6se TDI I feel Audi a6 are very over priced now which is putting people off audi

Something is wrong with the rear end. I would gladly have sacrificed some practicality for better looks.
