I just went from a scat pack to the 2020 Camaro SS and I absolutely love it

Why did you start at the scat pack?

@@APJXX Only advantage of Scat Pack over Camaro is more interior room and it looks more like a muscle car. Also you can actually fit 4 people comfortably in a Charger (compared to Challenger/Camaro)

@@APJXX I've owned a 2018 challenger r/t and sold it because I wasn't happy with how heavy it felt. Currently in a 2020 Camaro LT RS and I'm much happier with ride/performance. Waiting to trade it in for a SS or LT1 when $ is better.

Chevy did one helluva job with the 6th gen Camaros. Not only the big V8s either. The "little" V6 making 335hp is NO slouch.

Yeah I have the 305 version in my Impala which moves that heavy car at speeds it probably shouldn’t. But trading it in for an LT1 this month.

@w41duvernay haven't got any experience with those other than from what I hear and that is that they're pretty quick. Actually have a little more torque than the V6.

Solid for sure. I ran 11.68@116-117 as my best in my 16 A8. I had drag pack and stock tune. Also removed the seats. Rotofab cai. And in great air. I think the a10 cars are just a smudge faster but not by much. It don’t show in the quarter imo. But they have an edge at higher speed roll racing over the A8. Because they A8 has a substantial gearing drop hitting 5th compared to the A8. Good stuff man congrats

Go on any for sale site and type in drag pack and that’s what will pop up for sale. And he had slicks on the car he says in a different reply. Not saying you aren’t right about Chevy offering a drag pack package in the camaro cuz I’m not sure I’m just a slow a$$ mustang owner lol

Yeah the 10 speed auto is great when left in auto and upshifting on its own. The negative aspect for me was the lazy downshifts and upshifts when in manual mode using the paddles. I had one in my Mustang GT and recently sold it for a 2021 Camaro SS Manual (Tremec). Love it!

It should weigh less than my 2011 Camaro 2SS weighed 3920 4080 with me in it with race star wheels 17x9.5 back 18x4 skinnies front Mickey Thompson 305/45r17s back inch Sportsmen S/R 28x6r18LT front aluminium one piece drive shaft stainless 1 7/8 longtube headers into a stainless 3 inch X pipe into flowmaster FX 3 inch mufflers with no cats coming out the stock location a all aluminium light weight radiator weight now is 3760 car only so subtracted 160 pounds car has full interior and air conditioning and weighs 3920 with me in it I'm thinking the 2022 Camaro LT1 would weigh around 3650-3680 the car is smaller than my 2011 2SS

BNRZ28 it was jumping around but it was around 146ft to -300ft and even -500ft from the times I made the passes. But it wasn’t improving mph or times which I found odd.

D. F. 275/40/17 ET street S/S, Mickey Thompson’s. On a 17x10 wheel. I wouldn’t waste my time and money on trying it on the street tires. Go out with a drag radial and have more fun and have more consistent times

Is the LT1 as fast as the SS? I know its the same motor but is it truly the same speed?

YaBoiDougie yes, same transmission options as an SS and differential etc. it’s basically an SS with a v6 body, interior etc

I own one, it is roughly 70lbs lighter than an base ss. The rear tires are the same as front at 245mm. If you put a 275mm tire on it like the ss it would be faster but since it has a smaller tire than ss it is the same in a drag race. Another thing to think about is how many people buy a bas ss, most of them are loaded which makes them heavier, so there will be more than 70 lb difference.

There is no line lock, the rear breaks are small so it's easy to burnout on it's own
