Official Merch! demonology.mys... || I went out to Houston for the NHRA qualifiers and met up with my good friends Dennis Chaisson and Leah Pruett (the racing Queen herself) and we had a rare matchup between the Copo Camaro vs Dodge Dragpak in a 1/4 mile drag race. This is such a rare matchup that I could not pass up the opportunity. What a day in my life 😈

Except one is a aftermarket Yenko drag car and the other is a Mopar in house factory drag car. For a factory vehicle Drag pack is pretty amazing. Yes Copo is a in house order but a aftermarket setup. So say if Drag pack was sent to Hennessy/Venom same concept. Both are great cars though.

At the end of the day Challenger is just to big and heavy no aerodynamics, vs a Camaro or Mustang. Dodge should of just release the Baracuda instead of the Challenger in the first place to compete with the more shorter, lighter, aerodynamics, sportier cars!

It’s the lightest car in the class by a few hundred pounds. The class started out with all the cars at the same weight then the usual crap starts with one manufacturers start crying they need a weight break for this that or the other thing and the next thing you see is a Mustang that is 300 plus pounds lighter than the challenger and also lighter than the COPO’s. NHRA is in the process of screwing up this class just like they did with Pro Stock. Each manufacturer knew in advance what the engine requirements were but they purposely do something different and then they go cry to NHRA that they need less weight or they can’t be competitive so now it’s Mustangs are the lightest then the COPO and then the Challenger gets to weigh the most, a total B.S. arrangement when it was supposed to be build it to specs and run what you brung.

@@badgerbait8351 just now saw your post. Pro stockers like the funny cars don’t even have water jackets running through the block or heads to cool off anything. They run for such a comparatively short amount of time there would not be of any benefit for a pro stocker and the nitro cars will burn 30-40 gallons of their nitromethane and methanol fuel mix that it literally doesn’t have enough time to get heated up. The huge amount of fuel it uses in less than the less than 4 seconds during the race it actually cools off the the engine during the run.
