That's a crap features of Modern motorcycle with ABS.. and Also Quick Shifters and Throttle by wire. All electronic aids are crap. Trust me you'll love if the motorcycle is pure Machine and you, i own a Honda Super Four CB400 1992 and Honda Hornet 919 2002 and I can say that This feels faster and better than my friend's z1000, bmw GS1250(except comfort) and R1m.

I know it's a concept, but realistically, when could we expect to see a production model? 2022? It's stunning! I personally think the CB1100 RS is the prettiest modern retro, but wish it had more torque and weighed less. Thanks, Ian! Stay safe, brother.
@MrDarkoiV4 жыл бұрын
Wow, you guys are so hungry for spec, CB1100 is amazing at it is, yeah weight would be lower a little bit, but it's not sport bike, it's your everyday workhorse, a classic UJM. What would you need more torque for, it has already too much for normal street use, or some twistiest. I to contrary would love to see CB750 from Honda in CB1100EX/RS style, but slightly lighter and with even better fuel economy.
@willhorsley21054 жыл бұрын
Yes ... the CB1100’s are far too heavy

Not really that lardy to be honest. I had the CB1100EX and it was gorgeous. It did what it was designed to do brilliantly. It used to be compared to the Z900RS but that was unfair as it's a totally different concept. This new CB with water cooling and monoshock is proper competition for the Z900RS

A great looking bike and so good to see manufacturers investing money in bringing these retro-style bikes back, honda have always been good at combining technology with style, they have to bring this one to market, It will be a winner for sure, well done to Suzuki and Kawasaki for their retro models also, this new 900 will be a long way from the $3500 price tag back in 1981
@rickducharme74294 жыл бұрын
I really like the bike. I prefer it (in theory) to the neo cafe model which is an excellent bike that I also happen to like very much. The design, ironically, feels more authentic than the bike it's derived from. It has a more functional rear mudguard/pillion which IMO is an integral part of any bike, and the concept kept it real instead of sticking on that awkward "thingy" behind the rear tire. I think the mirrors and signals, even if they are handled properly by Honda (I think they will handle it well), will be easily addressed in the aftermarket. I would like to see another paint scheme or two, but overall I think this would be a great bike to have.

"just like the kawasaki z900...". My thoughts exactly. I was wandering, why Honda couldn't make a bike in the same way with so many beautiful old models to draw visuals from. I owned and rode a 1981 Honda CB900F2F Bol D'or (with full fairing) around Australia back in the day and it was a bloody reliable bike. Not one hint of trouble (except flat spotting the tyres across the Nullabor Plain which is understandable - haha). Saw pic of one it at 3.01 top left of screen. Currently own a GL1800 Goldwing but I have got to say if I didn't have it, I'd be seriously considering this new CB offering.

I love that Kawi 900 cafe. That fairing really makes what is a very cool bike to begin with even better. I've seen a few lightly customized versions of it that are truly mouth watering. This classification of motorcycle is my favourite bc they are for all intents and purpose the old UJM litre bikes of olde with everything updated, and are even better looking.

Love that cafe as well. Especially after seeing it in person and sitting on it. Feels very premium. I would take this over it tho, but only because I’m a Honda fanboy.

The Honda CB750F was available at the same time as the CB900F and they both had “eurostyling” I owned a 900F in 1980. I loved the look of it although my girlfriend at the time said it looked like a Honda superdream! But to be honest the looks were the only thing I liked about it! It didn’t handle,it vibrated and the fuel economy was crap so l didn’t own it for very long ☹️ Oh yes, it was also fitted with “chocolate cams” so reliability was an issue!

I like it, but as I'm an exceptionally old git, my CB1100EX is more representative of my "old school" than this CBF. The CB1100EX may lack the last 20% of performance and handling but for that hit of pure nostalgia - for me, at least - it can't be beaten. Luckily, in these days of lockdown, I also enjoy just looking at it in the garage! Keep up the good work.

Being a previous owner of the CB900F, black/orange, back in the day I love the looks of this bike! But I think you made one mistake as the original did not handle well with a week frame. Under hard acceleration chopping power would introduce tank slappers that would make my blue eyes brown. The only way out was to accelerate hard to regain control and slow down slowly. Saying that it was one of my favorite bikes and with a Kerker 4 into 1 it was magical.

If Honda take out to the market something like this without spoil the excelent chasis and engine of the cb 1000 r adding more weight or things like this, could be a lovely machine. Also adding a bit of modernity with tft dash, IMU, cruise control and a more comfortable seat to the passenger, adding a bit more par at lower rpm, sacrificing the top rpm or the max power, more or less like kawa is doing with the RS. Perhaps we can dream..:)

Hmm...I'm really happy with my first gen CB1000R (2015). I love the the flickability, the fact it has no computer controlled traction control, no ABS. It is truly a rider's bike. It is the perfect modern bike that everyone wanted growing up. I love the fact I can lock up the rear brake (and the front) if I want to (not that I want to). I love the fact I can do power wheelies if desired (without turning off computer controlled crap). It accelerates to 100 mph as quick as any other bike (sans 10th's of a second). And, it's really comfortable to ride! Once married, and you aren't hunting for the blond bimbo with your crotch rocket - the first gen cb1000r is just a sweetheart.
