This is the New 2019 refreshed Mini Clubman JCW! The Mini JCW is a car that has evolved over the years and this is the latest instalment from John Cooper Works. The 2019 Mini JCW reviewed in this video packs a punch. 306bhp and 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. The sound of this thing is great. Believe me the exhaust and engine sound is great and the cars acceleration and launch control is impressive! Pete's reaction to the acceleration in this video was one of the most convincing points for me. And now I can attest to the fact that he was not exaggerating. 331 lb ft torque + AWD in a MINI is bananas. The new Clubman is a BEAST! 🦍

About time we had a decent review of this car, well done🤗 As a matter of fact I ordered one a few weeks ago. Same colour combo, same wheels, but I’ve gone for the black leather seats. I’m on my third Mini, currently driving a 3 year old (from new) JCW Hatch. I tried a cooper S clubman some time ago, but then I heard this was coming out and I had to get one😜😜😜 Should arrive in about 2-3 weeks, and I can’t wait - it’ll be quicker than my 3 door JCW hatch! Hell, you only live once eh? Such fun😊😊😊

I got the JCW Mini Countryman 06/09 it is brilliant can't fault it. Not stopped grinning since I picked it up from Carlisle the drive over the A66 was the best laugh I've had in ages.

Was lucky enough to drive a couple of these a few weeks ago. My reaction to the launch control was pretty similar to PPs... except I sat with my mouth open before I started the giggling. Thought I'd miss a manual box, but not at all, and enjoyed using the paddles. The original F54 JCW was 4wd only, and the F60 is 2 or 4wd.

Guys great review thanks! I've owned one of these since September 1st... and so far every mile has been a smile. Just a quick question / observation - you mention the noise a lot, and its so cool in sport mode, but did you really boot it in green mode too? OMG. It goes all two-tone, IMHO even better than sport mode. Just saying...😁

The 19inch are a two tone wheel... The one you drove was the black 18inch with standard tyre.. or an option black 18inch with run flat tyres. The 19inch has a lower profile tyre... That's why i asked the question.

It’s called the GP. The current 3 door architecture doesn’t allow for AWD so it will be FWD only.

Love the new clubman! But 1 the fake sound pumped in through the speakers and 2 the Petrol particulate filter deaden the noise! 😤 SNM but apart from that a great car! Would deffo replace my F56 cooper s for one 👍

F56 cooper S and JCW have the fake sound too! One small speaker in the back that you can disable by pulling the fuse out or coding, it is not coming from all the speakers. Nothing new! But yes, i agree with OPF, due to bad regulations in europe it kills the nice pops and bangs when upshifting/downshifting. Of course you can remove it and remap, you know ;)

Sub 5 to 60, interesting to see how the 4WD will hold up with all that torque and 300BHP through the transfer box, a tad expensive though, BMW need to redesign the dash, the through back to the BL mini isn't working, it's just too quirky to take seriously and at this money you want serious. Rear view camera mirrors etc, I like the split rear doors but does it need that blind spot post, can it not be glass to glass,

I think the i8 engine is just quiet so they amplify the sound. I'm not sure about the electric motor sound though, that could be fake.

Look at the new diesel Audi S6, that's playing a petrol V8 sound through the speakers lol.

i8 is a 3 cylinder B38 engine, when you mod it, it sound good. Otherwise almost every BMW/MINI and whatever newer cars has amplifiying through speakers. This has no speakers outside, 100% real. There is 1 small speaker inside, it is a little more loud than it was before when there was no OPF.

GP3, rumors saying that they are working on it since its in the new 1-er series, but it needs new testing, crash tests and homologation to fit in the regular JCW.

Only issue with Minis is the reliability otherwise there great. I have a R60 JCW which is rather rare, its 5 yrs old with 35k miles and has cost over £3k in maintenance I.e clutch / flywheel /hp etc etc. Great to drive but a pain to own. I'd never buy a Mini out of warranty

They are great fun to drive. Not too familiar with the reliability of them. But most will buy them on pcp and chop them in after the deal is up and get a new car so warranty stands :)

CharlieboySLONDON the F generation minis are very reliable, they don’t have the problems the old minis had, considering the newer engines are bmw, 30k miles on my jcw and never had a problem

Yip, reliability is terrible. Just got rid of the wife's Countryman Cooper S just before the warranty was up, so much went wrong with it. Won't ever buy a Mini again, really quite shocking how bad they are. To buy one out of warranty could be classed as insanity!

If you get bimmercode you can disable it, done it in my f56 cause of the fake sound. But the car is so well insulated now there is not much sound inside them.
