Even though I’m used to my own OLED now, I gotta say that I’m very pleasantly surprised of how much picture quality Samsung squeezes out from conventional TV technology. This one seems to be a very nice TV in it’s price range. :-)

Anonymous Troll Yeah, I know what you mean. I don’t know what’s wrong with people these days. You find that kind of behaviour and fan wars everywhere, be it consoles, cars, TVs, smartphones, ... People are just crazy over the stuff and tend to “protect” what they bought themselves and think is the only right thing to buy. Or they want to push up their self-esteem this way. In the end, all of this has one thing in common: it’s expensive. That’s why everyone should buy what they like most. But it’s great to find people like you on the other side who are open minded and just share the same common tech hobby! :-)

Their is a real format war going on with TVs ! Crystal, OLED, QLED , Micro Led , NanoCell . I’m constantly upgrading 😂. Just recently ive gone from a 75” Sony Bravia (2019) to a 2020 LG NanoCell 91 . I’m waiting till next year to get OLED but man oh man, this NanoCell is incredible! It has 120hz with quick game response mode, variable refresh rate, Apple TV, Dolby Atmos & Dolby. Vision , HDMI 2.1 . I’m really really impressed .

I live in Canada. I have the exact same tv. Same remote control. Got the tv last year also. Very nice tv. The tv picture quality turned out to be even better than I imagined. The remote control volume buttons don't impress me too much.

I like what they’ve done with the budget Crystal UHD series. Very pleased with Samsung for achieving what they have with a budget TV range. Obviously not QLED standard but I think for people on a budget or who have a limited set point on purchasing a quality TV this would be perfect nonetheless the sound quality being more tinny. We have the Q950TS which is Samsung’s flagship model and I must say it probably one of the best 8K televisions we have ever purchased. However we are thinking of switching to OLED or Neo QLED new for 2021 soon because of its self lit capabilities. Nonetheless a very comprehensive and accurate review. Thank you!!! 😄😄

The HDMI and optical sockets at the back, do they need right angle adapters to clear the wall. Seems like a stupid place to put them on a slim television that will likely be wall mounted.

I have never tried out the Q80r but I suspect it is better than the Q80t as Samsung seem to have down graded the models this year.

Q80r is one up higher model than this year's q80t because the q80t replaces the q70r from last year and the q80r gets replaced by the q90t this year. So q80r is obviously better all around except in motion handling and native 5:5 pull down.

My personal favourite TV is the LG CX OLED,but out of the ones you have mentioned,the Q80T is one that I have tested and would highly recommend 🙂
