sounds like a hairdryer with a silly exhaust. What has happened to the classic sound of 6 cylinder engines. I had a M340i X Drive until recently, that was the same, most of the sound is now from the exhaust rather than the engine unlike a few years ago when they sounded meaty. Has design changed to quieten them down?

I traded in my GLC63S and test drove a few models. I have to say a 53 doesn’t feel like a AMG. 63 all the way. The power of the E53 felt just like my previous GLS450.

You keep saying E53 is way slower than E63....I don't think so. Yes slower, but not a huge amount slower. Also 0-30mph E53 will woop E63 with hybrid power quicker off the line.

Ask the owner of a 14 e550a cabriolet, I think that this Mercedes-Benz has gone in the wrong direction in many aspects. 1. The UI tech is distracting and obnoxious, taking away from the drive. 2. A convertible is best under 100 KPH, therefore the base engine the 4 cylinder is probably adequate. 3. The racing motorcycle sounds of the engine are silly on a refined heavy, poor handling convertible. 4. The price makes the whole thing unobtainable, which makes it silly. 5. The back seat is too small. It is too narrow and there isn't enough legroom and the seats arent high enough. We are all used to SUV seats now, anything less will be uncomfortable. 6. As with almost any model, the first versions are the prettiest, this iteration seems bloated compared to the earlier models. 7. Solving the wind noise and buffeting problem above 120 kph is the problem engineer should be tried to solve. 8. These things are a treasure when cruising slowly on beautiful wooded back roads. 9. Fear of expensive repairs is always on the owner's mind. 10. It needs many more cubby holes, a storage spaces, and cup holder holes.
