Agreed! I only play guitars with a Floyd rose, and I saw one of these on craigslist for $650 so I started watching reviews...This is the only I found with clean tones.

Yo! This is the best demo of clean sound for this guitar I’ve heard. You even can get a strat spank tone or a glassy sound. I guess it really is mostly in the fingers and technique. Well done

You’re a great player. And thank you for demonstrating an actual usable clean tone with a Wolfgang - so many people demonstrate them with a hella dry clean channel that I’d rarely use. I want one of these, but I wish it had a matching headstock like the other specials.

Thank you man. Yeah who wants a dry clean sound..it needs to sound nice and luscious lol. On the EVH site there is a typo saying this model had a matching head stock but not the case as you can see. It would be nice for sure. Thanks for watching!

@@baybae92 They clean up pretty good I would say. I like to do the same thing to get a cleaner sound myself. The only thing I'd do if you got the guitar is replace the tone pot or disconnect it. I find that it really sucks the tone out of the pickups with the 250k pot. I had to spend a lot of time to try to get a good tone for the video. I know this because my friend did it and the pickups instantly sounded way better.

I have a 2020 Chlorine Burst Wolfgang. Out of all the guitars I've purchased throughout my life, easily the best bang for the buck. Only thing I did was swap the bridge pickup for an EVH Frankenstein one.

I just played a bunch of EVH guitars, ended up grabbing the slime green 5150 standard but what stood out was how the consistency has improved. They were all set up with low action, were light, resonant and had no fret buzz unless you were really trying to make that happen. I believe they have improved on this front quite a lot!!
