I looked at the K5 at our local Kia dealer last week. It really is a fantastic car for the money. I have a Stinger GT2 and my son has a Kia Rio. I absolutely love the Stinger but I have to admit that the Rio is probably the best valued car you can buy. Gas mileage is ridiculous in the Rio. You almost never have to fill it up. Kia is just killing it these days. I like every vehicle they make.

@BMO forte gt is a sick car for the money if your into entry tuning the 1.6t gdi motor can handle 400hp as a daily driver. And even stock I gap Honda si's and give other cars with atleast 245-300hp a run for its money. Even the optima sxl turbo the forte gt 0-75 will take it. No need to race pass that. And yes this is the same motor k5 has so you can tune it as well, but I love the forte gt for its compactness I can maneuver alot better

Yeah it seems like every car company puts paddles in. Even though nobody uses them for normal cars. I’m glad this didn’t have a CVT. And the bigger turbo engine I believe has a DCT trans. Probably has paddles

Bro even if you cant get the stinger, kia has many other options for 28k Forte gt k5 gt line. Grab any car with the 1.6t gdi twin scroll turbo and you can easily tune it till 400hp or more. So I paid 28 I probably 3k to tune total 31 32k and my forte gt will have 400 hp and play around with the stinger. Or you can save and pay 38-50 depending on what stinger you want many options bro good luck

All of those options are nice! I don't think they hold value very well buying brand new even though they have a great warranty and all! Haven't been in the new Elantra just yet, but I drove the Forte as well and that was a fun car for the price. Kind of small, but if that's all you need, it was a great small car!

Dont sleep on the forte gt I'd take the Forte gt and the Kia k5 gt line over the honda civic. Both kias have dual clutches and I believe k5 has wet dual clutch and k3 has dry dual clutch YOU WILL SAVE MONEY and check out kias engineers

Both are great. Honda hatchback will have more space. Depending on your budget, a point A to B car should be easy to find!

“All I have to do is walk up to the car and grab the grab handle........”. I was about to get mad because my Stinger requires me to push the button to unlock the doors. Then you said “......and then push the button”. Honestly, Kia should change the way this works. Everyone else unlocks the doors just by holding the handle. That is the better way to do it.

I have the 2013 Kia Optima SXL 2.0L with 274hp. I like the way this K5 looks but with only 1.6l 185hp it would be a downgradefor me in my opinion. I'd have to wait until the K5 GT comes out later this year. I'm hearing its a 2.5l with 294hp. I will take a look at it before i decide on it but I'm very interested in the 2021 Stinger GT2 facelift later this year also.

You mention the seats have leather trim - they do not. It is synthetic leather (leatherette). The steering wheel is real leather.

You know, I remember in the 70s, nobody wanted a Honda or Toyota, they were a joke. Then they started making good cars in the late early 80s, and people got over it. Hyundai and kia make very good cars now. If you just look around you on the road, they are everywhere. Most people have gotten over it now.

If you like this car, do yourself a favor and don’t look at the Korean version. This is really a washed down version in the US and it’s a shame. I would love to throw money at the fully loaded version.
