Try using your bucket curl circuit more than your boom circuit. You have more breakout force. Also, I’d put my blade towards the dump trailer so you don’t tip into the trailer. But wow! That was bigger than it showed. Nice

Another thing, you would have better luck with a single ripper tooth instead of a group of teeth like that. You would have full force on one tooth instead of spreading out all that force across five different rippers giving each ripper only 1/5 of the ripping power. When digging out stumps you don't have to remove dirt around the base, you only have to break the roots so that the stump comes out easily. And it also save time so you don't have to push all the dirt back in afterwards. Especially when time is money.

Always dig over the blade and not the hyd drives. Better performance and save ya a lot of headaches down the road. Have fun with that new machine!

For sure!! Thank you for the great advice!

I don't know where you heard that. But on construction sites, it depends on what the situation is whether you dig over the track motors or the blade. If you're going to be digging in soft material then that is fine. But if you're digging into hard ground, then you're not going to be able to dig very much cuz it'll keep raising the blade end of the base up in the air and you won't have enough down pressure to break the ground loose. If you put the blade behind you on the ground with some down pressure, it'll give you a whole lot more leverage and geometry for increasing the down pressure with the bucket to dig into hard ground. There's some training videos on KZbin that show that. The main reason for digging with the blade in front of you would be that it gives you more lifting power without tipping the machine forward. Even on excavators with no blade, they're not going to waste time turning the tracks around just to dig with the track motors behind them when time is money. Besides, every time you turn the tracks around you're disturbing the ground and that's something you don't want on some job sites. Especially when you have to do lift turns every time you want to turn the tracks, even a little bit. Besides, every time you turn the tracks 180° you're putting more unnecessary wear and tear on the tracks, rollers and the motors. In addition, the track motors don't wear out from putting too much pressure on them from digging over them. They usually break from wear and tear on the internal gears which has nothing to do with putting pressure on them while digging! Which also means you have to change the oil in those hydraulic track motors/reduction gears on a regular basis to keep them from wearing out and tearing up the gears.

You are correct. 800 pounds would not have activated the hydraulic safety valve

Root balls are very heavy. My guess before reading this was about 2,000 lbs

Too much music.

Probably around 800 lb. Max. Even at that it would be tipping the tractor over more than it tried to.
