The very very first time I went on this ride, I got scared when Monstruo popped out right in front of me. I was at least 6 or 7 years old that time.

This attraction rocks big time, because it brings my Italian American culture to existence. I hate to spoil the magic and fantasy for you, but I must tell you that it was based on the Italian novel, Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. LOL

The original novel by Signor Collodi is much darker than the Disney adaptation. Plus, Collodi actually hated children, little boys especially, seeing them all as scummy little rats. This is why the young boys in the novel, especially Pinoke, were depicted as being so rotten. The moral of the original Pinocchio stories is that if you behave badly and do not obey adults, you will be bound, tortured, and killed. As the child with turquoise hair also puts it at the end; "Boys who minister tenderly to their parents and assist them in their misery and infirmities, are deserving of great praise and affection, even if they cannot be cited as examples of obedience and good behaviour. Try and do better in the future and you will be happy." In short, Collodi believed that children should do as they are told by their parents and other authority figures, and that children who behave themselves and help their parents are good and deserving of praise and affection. Children who are rebellious and do bad deserve to have bad things happen to them. Plus, Collodi never had any children of his own, for obvious reasons.

Yes please, I want Disneyland to stop showing child slavery with the 2 donkey boys in their cages. Pinocchio being caged up made me uncomfortable. Also the creepy clowns makes other sensitive people who are scared of clowns uncomfortable. Also I'm confused why they're showing a cigar ad. I thought this went against Disneyland's no smoking policy. But yes I really want Disneyland to retheme the Pinocchio ride as soon as possible.

@@CaliforniaDreamin. I do not always stay in my house, if I do, I get very antsy and restless, I have to be outside working and moving my body. I'm not offended by everything. But I do get offended by certain things like hearing about people getting underpaid, losing their home, or homeless people including children not being taken care of, or animals not being taken care of. I had my family and friends over the 30 plus years help me cope with life's problems as I'm an autistic man. I do like the other rides at Disneyland and enjoy them very much. I just hope Disneyland will at least retheme Pinocchio's Daring Journey ride or replace it but that's all I have to say in my comment. I want to see Disneyland to do a fundraiser for helping homeless people get into Disneyland.
