Testing out the New 2022 ‪@orbea‬ Rallon, in ‪@WhistlerBlackcomb‬ Bike Park. Riding with my teammate, Evan Wall and putting our new bikes to the test!
What would be a better testing ground, than the bike park?
Big jumps, high speed and aggressive terrain.
Filmed on my ‪@GoPro‬ HERO 9

@@GeoffGulevich I’m sure.. Just going insane watching everyone riding new bikes and knowing mine is just waiting on some part to show up. Actually thinking about reaching out to them and seeing if they can go ahead and ship what they have provided that it’s not something major like the frame.. And then run whatever just so i can ride..

Amazing riding! I'm looking at getting a rallon but I don't know whether I would get a medium for a bit more whippage and manoeuvrability, or the large as I fit right in the middle. For the medium I'm at the top end of their size recommendations. (I'm 5ft11) What do you ride and do you think going for a smaller size would be a good decision?
@GeoffGulevich
@GeoffGulevich 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Pip I’m 6’ and I ride a large. Never a bad call to go a bit smaller for maneuvering it easier. I can tell you for sure that I absolutely love my Rallon. This thing rips!

I’m in a similar situation, 5’9.5” (used to be 5’10” - shrunk). I really like a modern Geo 450 reach, pretty comfy. I have ridden Large frames with 465-475 reach, and while they’re nice and stable going downhill, I find them harder to manual and slower to maneuver in tight stuff. But I think depending on your inseam and arm length it could swing you either way. For short inseams the shorter seat tube on the medium could prove beneficial. If you’re a point and plow kinda person, a large could give you a little more confidence in rocky gnar. Just some thoughts.

Jeff, how tall are you and what size Rallon are you riding? Looking at picking one up, but not 100% on sizing between M and L.

Interesting, do you feel it rides smaller than other large size bikes. I have been told that at a little over 5' 9" that a large might fit better than a medium for me.

@@Coastal-rsidedown I think you’re right on the border. Any access to try one?
@Coastal-rsidedown

@@GeoffGulevich I was able to ride a medium in the parking lot, but no access to a large. If a large is the right size it will be blind to me, bringing in from out of province. Don't want to make the wrong choice. Ps. I did have a look at you old riding buddy's bike. For sale on pb, but want to buy new.

That over exposure going from dark to light is messed up. You can fix that in the GoPro settings.

Ok after seeing this video I am pretty sure going to order Rallon :))) They are seeling them 200m away from my house, Santa Cruz are overpized in Europe, Nukeproof doesnt offer coil spring and Propain sucks with colours and 180mm could be overkill.

@@GeoffGulevich not quite a big change, for the weight, the previous Rallon has 14.8 kg vs the new one 14.3 kg So if you say it's lighter it's not a big difference.Also the geometry it's basically the same like the 2021.The main change it's that now you can put a 27.5 wheel in tha back, and you have a mullet.And a little storage box built in the frame.I own the Rallon 2021 and it's still a god bike.
