My wife owns a 2022 DCT Tour. We took it on a cross-Canada trip this past summer. We returned via the northern states. My Ultra broke down in Ohio, and we doubled up on her Honda. This is a phenomenal bike, and I can't think of a better bike for the money.

About your front tiedowns I have seen were that can make stress cracks in your frame. Traxxion Dynamics makes a tiedown that goes higher up on your steering mechanism that is more secure. I would recommend you looking into that. Praying you have many safe miles on your wing

Found your channel because of the CRF250L content. I’ve been following for 3 years now. Have a serious soft spot in my heart for the Goldwing. I would love to have one. Can’t imagine spending that much for a motorcycle but you do get what you pay for. When you compare it to the CRF250L, they aren’t even close to the same thing. Maybe one day… big fan. Good for you Frank!

Thanks ! Yea it’s a totally different world on the Goldwing, it’s sure a nice bike. I wouldn’t get rid of the 300L, it’s my favorite bike

100%! Congrats. Love it. DCT is an absolute game changer. Quick, smooth and seamless off the line. Once you become comfortable, this bike rocks as a sport bike. Great looking too. Let the accessorizing begin. LED lights save lives. The large trunk was introduced in 21 to present. The 6th generation of this bike began in 2018. Enjoy. ATGATT.

The manual has a "slipper" clutch and, of course, it's hydraulic. When it comes time to up shift, preload the shifter lever, then quickly squeeze the clutch about 2 mm and it snicks in slicker'n snot. Downshifts are just as easy. Preload the shifter lever, blip the throttle while simultaneously squeezing the lever. It decelerates with a delicious "BWABMMMMM". Shifting is a wonderful feeling, especially on the new Wing, and is one of the best parts about riding a motorcycle. Any able-bodied rider that wants to do away with such a glorious experience doesn't really like to ride motorcycles. They want a convertible that leans.

The king of tourers, for years and years. The only thing I don't really like is the DCT. It's an amazing system that I'm sure works perfectly, but I really enjoy using manual gears. Even though it's technically "worse". I somehow just feel more involved in the bike's operation. I had a big Burgman with CVT and it was great too, sport mode and all, but I felt like I was driving it, not riding it.

They do offer this (that I know of) without DCT option. But people more often than not buy the DCT. Hopefully Honda will forever keep manual as an option.

@@TwoWheelAccord They still make the manual, but from what I have heard, they sell way more of these DCT's. I believe they said the manual is a little bit heavier.

If you weren't riding 2-up, would you consider riding the GoldWing as a solo rider? As a western US solo rider nearing retirement, I'm very tempted by this bike for touring and day rides involving not only interstates but also the many interesting scenic state 2-lane highways we have all over the country.

Welcome to the motorcycle that all others are wishing they where absolutely loved mine. Got totaled a week ago in Va. (deer attacked me) but I’m looking for a new one now. Please remember to use quality riding gear all the time. It saved me only a fractured ankle and a sprained wrist no road rash. The only thing I’m doing on the new one is upgrading to the airbag model. Enjoy my fellow Goldwinger

I have a black 2023 DCT Tour, and to add to the fob locking the bags automatically, I've noticed that if you have the trunk open, it will not stay latched shut if the fob isn't present. It will release shortly after you close it if the fob isn't detected.

New cam, big bore kit, air filter, upgraded oil pump, cam plate, lifters, shock absorber, headers, can and a few other bits, you'd have a really nice bike! After 9 months of rehab, i am stoked ! It ill be the light blue, which is a one-year only colour for 2022 here.

I owned a '22 wing DCT for about 4 months. I couldn't stand the clickity-clack busy transmission noise and mediocre GPS system. Loved the engine; hated the transmission. Fortunately, able to sell it for only a 600 dollar loss. My regret: NOT buying the manual tranny model, which I learned later is actually a delight compared to the DCT model. To each his own.
