A knife, a file, a flat head and phillips screwdriver. 4 things I would basically never need if im on a bike ride and I need to repair my bike.

Actually you can have a bit kit from any chinese multitool or for pretty cheap and those include a fair set of hex. As for flat or philips you need them, 😅

@@blade9292 What would I need a flat or phillips for during a bicycle repair? There are no screws on any of my bicycles that use phillips or flat head. And Ive owned at least 7 bikes, all from multiple different disciplines and types.

@@brandonkoh8361Just store those for use at home, and replace them with the bits you actually need. We should be doing that with most multitools.

For a bike multitool ….. They need to integrate some allen wrenches into the device. For an example of great multitools for bicycles, take a look at what Crank Brothers have to offer. This particular tool really doesn’t offer me anything more over a standard multitool.

Agreed. From a modern cyclist's perspective, this tool is related best to pre-90's multiple geared bikes or single-speeds.

I bought this because I'm always on the lookout for non-player based multi-tools I really liked it but I just wish that I had a pair of scissors

I almost started this comment with “I’m ashamed to admit”… but what the heck… I have a very very similar tool. It’s not a Nextool, but it’s a tool made with the same design. I would oversee the design and installation of commercial building security and automated controls. Sometimes, there would be a problem and if it was something I could take care of without having to send our techs out to fix it, I would just do it. So I kept a handful of tools like that, as well as a bunch of SwissTech stuff, to deal with cameras, switches, door contacts, and a multitude of different electronics etc., etc.. There was no need for me to carry around a bunch of professional grade stuff even though I had them, because if it was serious, I’d send techs to fix it. As low end as those tools can be, they come in way handier for a quick fix than one would think. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Per pictures on Amazon, they used both phillips and flat screwdrivers in tandem to work the bit adapter. I personally haven't tried it but I suspect you'd get a snugger and stronger bit action.
