I have the Rapide SL as well--in part because of your positive review--and I like it a lot! At some point I may be on the hunt for something lighter, but right now it works well.

I have quite a few different mats because that’s the nature of the channel; the Repide SL is comfortable, and so is the REI sleeping pad. Both of them are similar in weight, and I know I could sleep well on either one of those. I haven’t tried the new big Agnes Zoom, but people say it’s very comfortable, just not quite as warm.

This helped a lot. I'm not a small guy, and my main concern with any sleeping pad is whether my hips and shoulders hit the ground. I love my DoD Outdoors SOTO sleeping pad, however it's a bit big to haul around for anything other than basecamp camping.

It is a mix, we don’t know. They were both a rescue and they are brother and sister. We sure love them!

Hi, What is the total weight of your backpack? Thinking of backpacking after I watched your video, I Just want to have an idea of the weight I have to carry. Thanks
@BackpackingGearNut Жыл бұрын
My base weight is 13 - 15 pounds. Then you add the weight of your food and water. Water is ruffly 2 pounds per liter.

if your dog exploded your pad while you used him as a pillow this video would've made you a millionaire

Ma, either you bring your dogs to the manicure, or those mats really are robust!

My dogs have Freddy Krueger nails. The mats are very durable

I like the pro lite plus even if it does delaminate once a year. They'll send you a new one for free if you have a picture of your receipt. I'm also a bike touring need so weight doesn't really matter so much for me.

I haven’t tried the pro light yet. I tend to use thicker matte. Thank you for leaving a comment. It really helps my channel! Have a blessed day!

prolite plus all day bro. I've slept on railroad tracks and parking lots and big piles of thorns. All smooth as silk. Best 100 bucks you can spend. Sleep harder go farther.

Any idea why the pump sack has a drawstring and cover for the air port?
@BackpackingGearNut Жыл бұрын
It can be used as a staff sack.
@_68niou1 Жыл бұрын
@@BackpackingGearNut Seems redundant given it comes with a stuff sack.
@_68niou1 Жыл бұрын
And what purpose does the port cover serve?
@BackpackingGearNut Жыл бұрын
@@_68niou1 I have no idea. The bag is not waterproof so it’s not to carry water. I usually just leave it unlatched. Maybe it’s so that no small items fall out if you use it as a stuff sack. Hard to tell because they don’t really say what their purpose in it is

@@BackpackingGearNut Very much appreciate your reply. I contacted them directly about it. No answer yet, but I will follow up here if you are curious.
