How you doing buddy. It’s been a while. The existing bikes have USB port which is absolutely unusable. I cannot imagine running a long cable from under the seat, or even keeping my phone under the seat to charge it. 😄😄

I still own the 2 valve version (air cooled) and I absolutely love it. It is still 1 machine different from the rest as per my view. I just got back from a solo ride (BLR - Gokarna - Goa - BLR) and it did a wonderful job. I'm glad Hero has been taking feedback and working on it as well. The new bikes are much more smoother, more options and better graphics. Kudos to Hero 😊

I too did that stretch on my 2V, about a year back. BLR-MLR-Udupi-Gokarna-Palolem-Kumta-Sirsi-BLR 2V was lovely, but 4V version is definitely miles ahead of 2V.

Compred to bs4 bs6 4v has a major changes and this model is simply awesome. Mainly that windshield, switches and the way it looks, the headlight, the charging port, the knuckle guard tooo.... i loved the looks and eagerly waiting to testride this model in Visakhapatnam. But i felt that y hero not launching the matt green colour and y no dual channel abs whn there r 3 ride modes. I felt that Hero should launch few accessories like saddle stays, top rack better one, back rest, gps mount, and good crash gurd tooo.....

Have they improved the gear indicator? The present one is quite useless as the gear position display vanishes at the slightest touch of the clutch lever ie when you would probably be needing to read it the most. That's my biggest grouse with the XPulse.

You guessed it right brother. In case if you want to change the headlight, you will have to get the new switchgear too as it now has 3 positions of the headlight, which are DRL, Low Beam and High Beam. Accordingly the wiring that connects to the headlight connector will also has to be changed. Knuckle guards and the windscreen are straight fit, with no mods required.

Got it. I was personally looking into these 2 options: 1. Getting the Bi-LED Projector setup from Pulsar N250 (costs about 6.5k) 2. Replacing the main headlight with MadDog Scout-X wiring one for low and other for high beams. I already have HJG Mini Drive aux lights installed. For both the cases I need to get custom clamps fabricated. Let’s see if it works.

How was the Bum Paratha, if it got made? Can you test the headlight if possible, many LED headlights look fine when tested in isolation, but, when in traffic, specially with oncoming traffic and ambient lights, they look inferior.

Do you let the engine running for a while after a cold start. I too used to face same problem, however if you let the engine run for about 25-30 seconds after starting it, you won’t face the problem.

I’ve been riding a 4V rally edition everyday in traffic. There are no signs of engine overheating and the bikes pulls very cleanly in each gear due to the massive rear sprocket. I have adjusted the clutch play a bit so that it doesn’t feel heavy or cumbersome. And specially for Bangalore roads, I mean the current conditions of the roads in our city, this probably is the best bike right now.

Naah. It’s single channel only. I rode it again and kept locking up the rear all the time for slide turns. Neither is there an ABS Ring nor a sensor at the rear.

Because on highway speeds or speeds above 70-80 kmh then engine shouldn't heat, unless you are riding at lower gear in those speeds. You can engage 5th gear on Xpulse as soon as you cross 50kmph to put lesser strain on the engine.

Windscreen and Knuckle guard, YES. Headlight has to be replaced along with the new switchgear and the associated wiring, as the new headlight allows you to ride only with DRL turned On and operate the Low and High beams separately.

Use Motul fully synthetic oil. It works well compared to the the one that Hero guys use at the service centre. With the clutch case opened, you will need about 1400ml to soak the plates properly.

Great video on fresh bike 👍🏻 Does the new knuckle guard setup is good and most importantly sturdy as for example Himalayan which comes with welded nuts inside handlebar..? Because with 4v thats the main issue it doesn't have internal welded nuts so you cannot install most of the aftermarket products

U can install after market knuckle guards on our stock handle bars just requires one special nut that also will be provided alo g with the after market knuckle guards.... That special nut looks like 2 split sleeves with one cone shape nut in b/w the split sleeves which expands while tighten the allen key bolt

I strongly believe that 5k is worth for the number of changes Hero is offering with the updated version. Even if you break it down individually, the headlight alone (in spares) will cost about 5,500-6,000/- Knuckle guards will cost about 300/-, visor would be around the same 400-500/- etc. Overall the pricing of all the changed components is very compelling. I’d hence suggest you to pick the new model itself.

As an experienced rider what would you suggest if I want to upgrade from Avenger 220 cruise to and ADV ? I am from Dehradun. I want to keep my Avenger and Buy an XPULSE or the other option is to Sell off the avenger and consider Yezdi Avd. I have done all of Uttrakhand and SPITI on avenger SOLO.

I won’t recommend Yezdi Adv as it’s more a street bike dressed up like an Adv. The build quality is very inferior and that engine isn’t suited for off-roading coz it’s requires too many downshifts to be in the powerband. Instead of the Yezdi, I’d rather recommend the Suzuki VStrom SX (if seat height isn’t a problem for you). The main advantage of Xpulse 4V is that it has got some amazing low end grunt compared to the 2V version (I have owned a 2V previously and I currently own the 4V Rally). The bike is very easy on the pocket to maintain plus if anything goes wrong with the engine, which ideally won’t, you get a 5 year warranty too. For the price, it’s definitely the most value for money bike that’s on sale in the country. Try it out.

Bro I Have Xpulse 200 4V bought an year before and just rode 3000+ kms But Iam getting only 23km/l It's very depressing My ride speed is under 60 Still no improvement in mileage Service Centre person Dont care about it much Can You suggest some Ideas to Improve the mileage pls?
