kevin i would like to ask please... do we have a formula for finding the sum of a geometric sequence wen given 1st nd last term?. like we have in finding the sum of arithmetic sequence wen we are given 1st nd last term?.

No we dont! :) If given last term geometric then just use Tn to work out the n for that term. That n will then be the number of terms in the pattern. Then you can work out sum of series using normal Sn formula for geometric.
