For those who enjoy the ARiemann1 KZbin channel, I think you’ll have some eager buyers. I think it’s a nice upgrade for the CB 500x folk as well. 👍🏼thanks for the news!!
@HondaProKevin
@HondaProKevin Жыл бұрын
Yeaaah buddy, @ARiemann1 is on another level! I'd give anything to have an ounce of the skills he's got on 2 wheels and behind the camera too as his production level is top notch as well! And most definitely, a very nice upgrade for not that much more money in the grand scheme of things when compared to the CB500X. Well, pending American Honda doesn't exceed the $10,### number but if I was a betting man, I'd say it won't, from what I've heard down the grapevine. You're more than welcome and thank you for giving the video a watch and for hopping in the conversation too, much appreciated ;)

This is the one bike that Honda could have done in just one colorway and it would fine..... AS LONG AS IT'S THE WHITE TRI-COLOR !!!!!!!!
@HondaProKevin
@HondaProKevin Жыл бұрын
lol yeaaah buddy, you're not wrong there! If they only give us one color, they would be absolutely insane not pick the tri-color. One of these days I'd LOVE to sit down and have a chit chat with some of the big wigs and see what all goes into the color choices they pick for the US market. I think it'd be super interesting to see their reasoning behind this versus that and so on! Appreciate ya watching and hopping in the conversation too bud ;)

Yessir, you're more than welcome and thank you for watching and hopping in the conversation to help support all of this ;) Big congrats on paying her off that quick! There's nothing better than being able to put that title in the safe, knowing she's really yours. It's a shame American Honda doesn't think there's enough interest here in the US to import the NT1100. While I can understand their thought process behind not bringing it, because of past flops in that segment that have made them a little g*n shy, I still wanted to see it here lol! Are you thinking about getting rid of the CB500X for the Transalp?
@MotoVania
@MotoVania Жыл бұрын
It’s been such a long wait, I’m glad it’s finally close! I’m definitely all about that tri-color, which I expect will be the only choice we get. Anything over 11 would start to get a bit too close to AT territory imo. Hoping it comes in as close to 10 as possible
@HondaProKevin
@HondaProKevin Жыл бұрын
lol you're not kidding bud! And seeing all of these guys around the world taking delivery of theirs, has only poured more salt on the wounds for you guys that have been itching from the get go to get your hands on one. You hit the nail on the head there when it comes to both the color choice and potential downfall when it comes to pricing. If they creep over 11, which I doubt they will, it'll be waaaaay too close to AT territory. If I was a betting man, I'd say we'll see $10,299(ish) for the first year and then we'll see a few hundred dollar increase for 2025. And I'd bet big money the tri-color will be our sole color choice too, unless American Honda throws us a massive curveball and imports 2 colors but yeah, we all know we're not getting all 3 lol! As always, really appreciate ya watching and helping to support all of this, Travis ;)

Excellent news! We'll just have to hold our collective breath that they keep the price reasonable and competitive... hopefully under the $10K mark. Does this mean they might finally grace the USA shores with the NT1100 as well? Deciding between those two will be interesting. 😉👍 --QM

Yeaaah buddy, definitely some good news! The fun part though is going to come down to availability and if they can get enough over here to satisfy demand. As the people wanting this bike have already had to sit through enough, with watching everybody online around the world get to snatch theirs up and then if the wait time here to get one is crazy, people aren't going to be happy. And lets not even talk about the "bad apples" when it comes to dealers that are going to want to gouge on pricing for these bad boys when they do start hitting our shores as that's not going to help the situation. Yessir, in a perfect world it'll hit under $10k but if it does - it'll be $9,999 lol! If I were to guess, I'd say it'll be anywhere from that to around $10,299(ish) for the first year and then we'll see a few hundred dollar price bump the following year. As much as I hate to say it bud, I wouldn't hold my breathe when it comes to the NT1100. Personally, I don't think American Honda sees a large enough market for that segment to jump through the hoops needed to import. American Honda hasn't had a lot of luck lately with anything remotely close to a sport touring bike, so I think they're a little g*n shy on giving it a whirl with the NT1100. Fingers crossed that changes though and I'm digging every day for something that may shine some light on it being a real possibility. Long story short though lol, definitely not for the 2024 model year ;) As always Quasi, appreciate ya and stay safe out there!

This bike is too late for the US market in my opinion. Almost everyone who wants to do dual sport/touring has picked up a bike. I waited and waited for the Transalp, following every bit of news on it, but when the end of winter arrived, I got tired of waiting and bought a KLR650S instead. I have been having a blast riding fire roads and camping with it. I know at least one other person who was the same, he bought a V-Strom, and he even works at the Honda dealer. Now they will sell fewer in the US and claim the market isn't here for a mid sized dual sport.

From Honda's website under Features/Performance/Quick Shifter. " Whether you’re riding on-road or off the pavement, you’ll always appreciate fast, decisive shifting, and the Transalp’s quick shifter makes that happen. Even better, it comes as standard equipment." I think the US less HP version is not a big deal. Nothing an ECU Flash won't fix. Upshift will be making sweet graphic kits and such to take care of the Black colorway. I have a deposit down on one at a Unit Price/$10,497.35 ( Additional Dealer Charge ). Freight $600. Dealer Prep $300.

I think they are too late. They should have released it when their was hype for this bike. They won’t sell many and blame it on the US market and it was Big Red asleep at the wheel again.

With the NC750X at 9399, they aren't much more than commuter/some travel type bikes, but the DCT adds some tech cost, $10,500 would be about the limit. Over 11K has been mentioned that it will get you too close to the AT line up, I would also add in the 890 Adventure from KTM. One thing I would love to see from Honda would be tubeless spoked wheels on the ADV lineup. If the US gets the Tri Color option, they will probably also get black, or they will release a matte green option for the US.
@HondaProKevin
@HondaProKevin Жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, the only real saving grace to the NC750X sticking around at that price point in today's market, is because of that DCT. And like you said, if they creep up over that $11k price point for the Transalp, it's getting dangerously close to what a discounted leftover Africa Twin would come in at, which could make the Transalp a difficult sell and it's already got enough stacked competition from the other guys, to be worrying about its "big brother" stepping on its toes. If American Honda could nail a $9,999 to $10,299 price tag and then offer a DCT version in the next year or two, for $500 - $700 more, that'd be perfect! Of course I'd love to see them even cheaper but, trying to be realistic lol. 100% on going tubeless spoked, it's still surprising that we haven't seen Honda do that more by now but the more the competition steps it up, the better our odds are on that happening to more of the ADV lineup. Maybe we'll see that happen by 2030 lol! I like your thinking, a matte green could look pretty cool on the Transalp! Fingers crossed we get more than just the tri-color... Appreciate ya watching and hopping in the conversation too bud ;)

Agree with others who have commented they’re tired of waiting waiting waiting on Honda to release bike models in the US. They are seriously misinterpreting their US market data. Big red is indeed asleep at the wheel, and everyone else making bikes is stepping up their game and changing the market. I think Honda forgot that a company can influence a market and just wandered off.

What a joke. Honda makes the US wait a year to get this and although the price is okay there's no cruise control, the quick shifter is optional, black is the only colorway we get (huh, really), has tubed tires, and is down on horsepower relative to the European version. No thanks. Oh, and Honda USA is still showing the 2022 version of the Africa Twin which hasn't been available for almost a year since they're out of production. Not to mention the 2023 models were never alloted to the US even though most global markets had plenty of them. Seems like we're on Honda's pay-no-mind list.
