Nessarose is an interesting character, more so in the book perhaps. She's Elphaba's spoiled younger sister, who, because of complications during her birth, was born with no arms (in the book). Wearing the slippers allowed her to stand in balance, while also conferring other powers upon her. She became a tyrant and was dubbed the Wicked Witch of the east. Obviously her not having arms was problematic for the live musical, she they had the character in a wheelchair instead, which took away from the interesting detail that she could not stand and walk around in balance without the slippers.

Love Cynthia Erivo but I'm really only interested in the Glinda doll and I hope it looks better in person. If I learned anything from The Little Mermaid last year it's that all of these will be on clearance next summer. I might spring for the collector Glinda at launch but any doubles can wait.

Little late with a reply but here's a breakdown. The two deluxe dolls are from Elphaba and Glinda's respective big solos - No One Mourns The Wicked and Defying Gravity, which appear at the start and end of the movie. Nessarose is Elphaba's spoiled young sister who was born with her legs twisted together, she's also known as ''The Wicked Witch of The East'' she's gifted the silver slippers upon her arrival at Shiz - so thats all I'll say as don't want to spoil the movie.
