People complain about "why did they show so much in the trailer" but that's actually what people want. Most of the general public want to know most of what they're seeing so they aren't surprised. The famous movie Castaway with Tom Hanks had the end of the movie spoiled in one of the trailers because the test audiences for the trailer where it was more vague "wanted to know if Tom hanks got off the island" and it actually affected whether or not they're see the movie.

It didn't just feel like something made to make money and sell toys. It was worth seeing in theaters, and I think this movie will be, as well. I absolutely plan to see this in theaters and I hope it stays true to the musical. I wonder if Chistery the monkey will be included in this? They keep showing scenes of a single monkey, like when he crashes through the window in the scene where she's obviously just been melted by Dorothy....I wonder if this is him? And I wonder just HOW they will handle Nessarose and Fiyero with their unique body enhancements? Like Nessarose is supposed to be in a wheelchair and not have arms and be practically helpless and immobile until she receives her silver slippers (another thing I am looking forward to seeing how they do) and Fiyero is meant to have blue jewels on his skin. I don't see any on him so far, and I REALLY don't want them to do the whole sparkly skin thing they did with Edward Cullen in Twilight.

If you like reading, I HIGHLY recommend reading Wicked! It goes into more detail, including the origin or Elphaba and why water burns her and so much more!!! The musical does a good job adapting it (with some twists) and this trailer seems to be hinting that it will do just as great a job at it :)
