People complain about "why did they show so much in the trailer" but that's actually what people want. Most of the general public want to know most of what they're seeing so they aren't surprised. The famous movie Castaway with Tom Hanks had the end of the movie spoiled in one of the trailers because the test audiences for the trailer where it was more vague "wanted to know if Tom hanks got off the island" and it actually affected whether or not they're see the movie.

@@rebeccah4797 These two movies I mentioned feel like they were made with love. I saw Inside Out 2 in theaters yesterday and I was EXTREMELY impressed with what they did. It didn't just feel like something made to make money and sell toys. It was worth seeing in theaters, and I think this movie will be, as well. I absolutely plan to see this in theaters and I hope it stays true to the musical. I wonder if Chistery the monkey will be included in this? They keep showing scenes of a single monkey, like when he crashes through the window in the scene where she's obviously just been melted by Dorothy....I wonder if this is him? And I wonder just HOW they will handle Nessarose and Fiyero with their unique body enhancements? Like Nessarose is supposed to be in a wheelchair and not have arms and be practically helpless and immobile until she receives her silver slippers (another thing I am looking forward to seeing how they do) and Fiyero is meant to have blue jewels on his skin. I don't see any on him so far, and I REALLY don't want them to do the whole sparkly skin thing they did with Edward Cullen in Twilight.

I watched Wicked a couple of days ago at an special early screening event..... I was hooked the ENTIRE time. It was a fully booked theater, the gasps, claps, screams of so many people at the same time. This is truly a cinematic masterpiece. I thought I wasn't going to like it but both actresses went above and beyond to deliver. My husband who hates musicals, loved it and gave it a 9/10 (he didn't give it a 10 because like I said, he hates musicals) this was a beautiful family experience where people of all ages got together and I can truly say it felt like being a little kid again. This was beautiful

I always worry whenever they bring a musical to the silver screen because all too often they miss the mark, but the trailers have definitely given me hope for this one. The only thing I worry about is the idea of splitting this into two films (especially since the majority of the most memorable songs are sung in the first Act/Part).
