I had the E-Class (2018) and bought right now the E-Class Coupe (2022). I have a big problem with MB now: the electronics. The new EQS is a desaster because of the building quality & electronics. I hope the new E-Class will be better but I already saw a few elements inside that look similar to EQS... in this case: would not recommend to buy. At least the version 2024.

Yes, the EQS hyperscreen infotainment is horrible & I also told the MB engineers about it but the new E-Class is soo good! No more laggy systems, this one runs smooth & I am seriously thinking about getting one myself after driving it now 😍 I would just recommend you to test drive it & make your own opinion before comparing it to the other models

@@At_the_races I’m really concerned about that. My E classes and S classes I have owned have been fairly free of electronic problems. I had a 2019 GWagen AMG G63 but didn’t have it long enough to have any problems. But I did experience nagging electrical problems: My A/C, sunroof, air suspension, wipers, and lights were all functional but the electrical systems managing them were problematic. Mercedes-Benz is bending to the whims of journalists and reviewers rather than its owners. We want luxury and performance not at the expense of silly useless electronic gimmicks. I really really hate the electric door pop outs - just waiting for a $1,500+ repair.

I was never a fan of the E-Class, rather Merc would lend all the glamorous touches to the C and the S- the E always felt like a deserted child when it came to styling. But hell yeah, this is what it needed. Love it- and those emblems everywhere, wooohoooo!

For the first time in a while I'm starting to like Mercedes again. Love this new look. I hope the build and material quality on the inside is good too. And also, a lot of things should be standard now since cheaper Chinese cars give things like radar cruise as standard. Even city cars have such things standard so that would be great to see. It now actually looks different to a C Class. And hopefully it comes with a 6 cylinder diesel.

@@mr.benz I like to see more about the interior material and build quality. Specifically the lower parts of the doors by the door pockets and the lower half of the dash board like the glove box lid. Those were all soft touch in previous models. Is that still the case here?

@@jalaludeenikramjibrin1652 I still have a Mercedes. A 2014 W212 E Class. I wanted to replace it many times but every single new Mercedes product I test drove felt like a step down. The new C Class feels cheap. The W213 E Class also feels a bit cheap and it doesn't actually look good in my opinion. The current 5 series feels a whole lot better than the W213 E Class. Even a Jaguar felt better than the W213. This new W214 seems like it could be a return to form from Mercedes. So I truly hope the interior build and material quality is better than their current products.

Well we obviously arent going to stay in the stone age with outdated analogue dials and buttons. Technology progresses overtime and is always improving. I love the giant screens personally. I think it looks really sleek and hyper-modern. The exterior looks very modern and elegant as well.

I have used both being a Tesla owner and a Mercedes owner and the buttons are much more intuitive, and definitely the best! Somethings are great on the screen, especially on a Tesla where you have computer updates and diagnostic tools. Mercedes has a long ways to go to catch up to Tesla and Tesla has a long ways to go to catch up with Mercedes in terms of fit and finish and nicer paint colors and just the general dashboard looks so good in a Mercedes. Especially the ones pre-computerized.

Honestly till I noticed the 3 pointed Merc Star I thought this is BMW 5 Series with widened front light section. But definitely a good improvement over older model. Wish the electric models could be made this prettier. They are quite ugly in comparison to gas models.

It is on the right track but they still fail with some things. Instead of flowing hyperscreen, they broke it in two - weird and unnecessary. They still insist with the hapting idiotic controls instead of good old aluminum wheels that are awesome. One in one, the interior design seems... patched... Is like they took some parts from one car, other parts from other car and mashed them together in this one. I had the previous model, the 2018 one. That was a perfect car. Everything felt good in that car. The ONLY thing I had to reproach Mercedes is that they didn't updated anymore the infotainment. Now that I moved to EQS, the E really shows it's shortcomings...

This e class looks a lot better it’s a big big improvement from the older models especially the Amg line. Although not a s class it’s a lot closer to it than the previous e class models for sure.
