Best hybrid system ever developed by mercedes benz and amg,they got rid of that heavy rear mounted electric drive unit with that unnecessary 2 speed heavy gear box,this new hybrid system uses yasa uk based company that owned by mercedes,yasa developss super light weight electric axial flux motors that sits between the engine and gearbox just like mercedes mild hybrid systems and it doesnt weigh more either,they also got battery pack with double energy density,all of that means 2025 e53 hybrid electric system weighs less than 150 kg which half of what we can find in c63 se and gt63 s e and 200 kg lighter than what amg uses in 2023 s63 s e performance,they have done an amazing job,this is what amg and it's hybrids should be engineered,only car enthusiasts know whats going on with 2025 e53 hybrid,i hope they will use this new electric platform in their entire hybrid line up especially amgs

the new Mercedes-AMG E53 is absolutely astonishing. the sporty front melts my heart, the stars on the lights in the back make the car so Mercedes-oriented, the carbon fibre spoiler is so amazing, and happily retaining the inline 6 engine, this car is spectacular.

The E63 will be a V8 hybrid, so Mercedes will have learned from their mistakes with the C63. If a V8 is not installed in the E63, customers will go to BMW and buy an M5.

Just can't wait to read about all the electrical and electronic faults that come up after 30k, 40k, and 50k miles. People get excited about this kind of cars but don't realize the massive problems that come with it. 😃 With Audi and BMW topping the list of the most unreliable brands. They may offer a comfortable ride, but the frequent breakdowns and high maintenance costs are a nightmare. If you enjoy dealing with problems, buy a German car. If you want a hassle-free experience, go for a reliable but perhaps less exciting Japanese car. I prefer the second option and since 2015 no problems with my Japanese car :)

Nope, also in-line 6 like the E53 but a special engine based on the M256 with the similar bore x stroke ratio as the M139 and M176/M177/M178. Engine displacement formula: (83/2)^2x3.142x92x6=2987cc, equals to 3 litre in-line 6

Most of the comments could be answered by watching and listening. Looks and quality are purely subjective and change from person to person and hardly can judge from a video. Everyone is wishing for a V8 but think of the feat here : >200bhp per liter was unheard of just a short 10 years ago. Many commented it’s an I6 not a V6 but importantly the configuration matters as an I6 is in a natural firing order and makes a power stroke every 120degrees or 3 per revolution making it the smoothest configuration possible if enough main bearings are used. The only thing better is a V12 which is 2 straight 6s making a power stroke every 60 degrees or 6 per revolution .
