Im a owner of a 2022 G63, I personally prefer this model rather than the new ones, the old ones interior is more timeless and classic , that’s the bieng of the G wagon. I would not like to buy an electric g wagon, the v8 sound is iconic

Mixed feeling to be honest. I'm not a fan of the front grill. I do prefer gas over electric, but I've heard the regular g class uses too much gas. I don't see why they removed the locking differentials but then again, most people don't off road the g class.

Electric G Class - this should *NEVER* be a thing. It's like a motorized wheelchair.

Like the car, don't think it'll be a huge commercial success because the range is terrible (relative to other EVs) and it'll compare unfavorably to the ICE G-wagons in price and features. G-wagon is probably like the electric Hummer because an EV in this shape and packaging doesn't really make sense. Also, they probably didn't want to label it the EQG because the EQ line is a stylistic disaster and maybe a commercial one too--the G-wagon has always stood apart from the main Merc styling cues (and market) and the company probably didn't want to limit this model with the EQ baggage.
