New 2025 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport - Enhanced Design and Features!
Get ready to meet the refreshed 2025 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport! This isn't an entirely new model but an exciting update of the existing Triton-based SUV. Recent photos from Thailand have revealed its enhanced look, both inside and out.
Spotted without any camouflage, the updated Pajero Sport features new exterior tweaks. While the headlights and fog lights remain unchanged, there's a new skid plate, revamped upper and lower grilles, and an updated rear bumper. The SUV also sports stylish new wheels that add to its fresh appearance.
Inside, the Thai-market Pajero Sport comes with a new steering wheel borrowed from the redesigned Triton ute. The front seats are upholstered in luxurious quilted black leather with maroon side bolsters, giving the interior a premium feel. Apart from these changes, most of the interior remains similar to the outgoing model. Key features like the digital instrument cluster, rotary drive mode selection dial, and touchscreen are carried over.
Under the hood, the Thailand-delivered Pajero Sport is expected to be powered by the new Triton's 2.4-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. However, it’s anticipated that the SUV will feature a single-turbo version, producing 135kW and 430Nm of torque. This is a slight increase from the previous model but lower than the Triton's twin-turbo output. It's yet to be confirmed whether the Pajero Sport will adopt the Triton's six-speed automatic transmission or retain its current eight-speed gearbox.
This facelift is likely the final update for the current generation Pajero Sport, which has been on the market since 2015 and received its last significant update in late 2019. Despite being Mitsubishi’s lowest-volume model in Australia in 2023, the Pajero Sport managed to outsell competitors like the Toyota Fortuner and LDV D90.
