I like the new judging system. Just one note: Decibels aren't on an exponential scale. its a logarithmic scale. Every 3db is a doubling of sound intensity. but every 10db is a doubling of "apparent loudness" to the human ear. So if a bow is 10db quieter than another, it is 50% as loud. so theoretically, If a bow is shooting at say 71db, and another bow is shooting at 70db, the bow that shoots at 70db is roughly 5% quieter to the human ear. I would say that is actually a significant difference, especially is one bow is shooting 2-3 decibels quieter than the competition. Anyways, Keep it up, these videos are great. the scale is great. your videos have helped me make a lot of informed decisions when it comes to my archery setup.

Any chance you can look into a make a video about the module slipping past the draw stops at full draw? This is an issue I have and can not find the solution. I’ve read about either moving limbs around, shimming cams, or adjusting cam lean… I’m not sure which direction to go here and I don’t have any reputable bow shops around me.

I just watched another bow review of the Mach 33 and PSE Lev and light 33 X and its true the PSE full draw brace height grew over 1 inch more than the mathews. The guy loved the mathews but said he did shoot the PSE better at long range. He is wondering now if it really does matter, I want to know what other bows are measuring at full draw, like the bowtech SS34.

Like your reviews, I will be taking them into consideration this season because I am in the market for a new bow, I had a Bowtech Solution but recently sold my entire setup. Had another bow lined up and the person reneged on me. SO that left me with out a bow as Deer season started the beginning of the month. I am heading out west for an elk hunt and will be gone for the next 3 weeks and will be home right as BT puts their 25s out. So I figured, I will see what they have to offer before I pull the trigger on a either the new 25 or the old 24. It sucks but, it is what it is. I will live with it but, your videos and expertise explain a lot of what to look for in a bow and help me make the decisions. I am leaning hard towards BT because of all the tunability and features but, want to see what the other bow manufactures are offering before I release the funds on a 1300ish dollar bow.

I like the scoring, and I think it's fair to compare to other PSE bows since it's the manufacturer and what they deliver is what you need to provide judgement on. What do you think is (or should be) most valuable when you look at buying a new bow, outside of budget? I.e., what would you heavily consider at any price range. Thanks for the honest review!

Are we aware that axle to axle length is centerline of one axle to the centerline of the other? Just like vehicle wheelbase is done. If you're measuring outside to outside it's always going to be the thickness of one axle long

In today's market I'd have to mortgage my house to buy a new bow just my opinion that's ridiculous by the time you're said and done with it you got $2,500 to $3,000 in it for a new one to come out next year I don't understand the bow market at all

That’s only true if you buying into the whole «new technology and added features », if not then a Bear RTH Adapt 2/2+, Alaskan XT, Species, etc at $550-$750 will last you a decade with proper maintenance and you won’t have to mortgage your house 😊
@randallflores-qr8cs3 ай бұрын
@@innerstrenghtfitness Yep, the features and speeds of those bows would have blown away all the flagship bows 20-25 years ago. We still killed lots of critters with the bows back then. I agree with you completely, that Alaskan XT performs as well, or better that most bows costing 2x-3x the price. If you were in prison, you wouldn't want to drop the soap near Matt Mc Pherson, or any of those other scumbag CEOs of the archery companies

How much speed do you think id lose at my 29.5” DL, if i compared the Lift 29.5” to the 33”…i really want the 33 for all the good reasons. But dont want to have it wayy slower at my draw curve…also the 29.5 lift maxes at 1/2” longer than my DL so wondering if that would be a really aggressive draw and not as smooth and nice to shoot reps
@bearinthewoods33 ай бұрын
Stop worrying about speed
@Orr_s3 ай бұрын
@@bearinthewoods3 not worried bub. Just wanted to know the difference since the 29.5 peaks almost at my draw length where the 33 doesnt peak until 2” after my draw…im not shooting crazy light arrows. Im around 475 which i wanna stick with so i was wondering. Speed and FOC and a good build translates to more momentum and of course KE. Momentum being more important for penetration.

Bought a drive 3b new in 2020 limbs had to be replaced in summer of 2023. This year 2 weeks before bow season started in NC I heard a crack took bow to my local shop and had another broken limb. Pse said they no longer made the limbs for it. I owned the bow for 4 years and had limb problems twice. Hope every one else that owns a PSE has better luck but as for me I will never purchase another product that they sell.
@SlimPickins_073 ай бұрын
My PSE response (2019 I think) has the slivers like the Lift has been getting, on all 4 limbs. Been shooting it that way for a few years with no problems. It's a backup now though.

We're talking about affordability like 800 dollars is 250. I understand there's a difference between a 2k bow and an 800 dollar bow. People do actually expect better fit and finish for an 800 dollar price point. That's not an unreasonable position to hold. Its not a price thing for these companies. They chose not to put more efficient cams and make crisp back walls on lower end bows to force peoples hand to buy the "higher end" equipment. I'm not saying you're wrong but let's be honest about things when we speak about them. Companies are capable within the same profit margins of "mid level" equipment to give more performance and better feel.
