Subaru may have produced something like this in their model department as a concept van. It has never reached the light of day not so far. This van could have alternate drive trains. If this design came to the market it would sell very well. Having fold-down seats on a flat floor would enhance the interest of many customers who want to carry goods or use them as a people mover. Most designs start as fake modelling. If approved the engineering has to be tooled for manufacture. That is the job of the production Methods and planning engineers. This design is well within the range of a good car manufacturer to make and market. The one standout feature is the outboard wheel design. Giving extra floor space inside. This is definitely an AI production the design is practical and eye-catching. This design could easily be made with some changes. More possibly be VW than Subaru.

I needed this vehicle as a family vehicle in 1977. After a scientific study I ended up with a LUV with canopy. The VW van was slow and over stressed for highway travel.
