I like that Trek is staying with the removable battery platform - that's crucial for us frozen climate emtb'ers
@ColyHow20 сағат бұрын
A 600 battery on a full power emtb is too small, and it's a pain to ride with a battery extender (lose your bottle cage). I have a Bullitt and I often struggle with range and/or keeping up with with other emtbs when I'm forced to ride on lower power settings. Sadly, an EP801 and small battery makes for a hugely compromised bike.

If they do S at 2 x 27.5; why can't they do XXL at 2 x 29? I am 6'4" and prefer full 29.

I have to say.. i remember when I had my first emtb when they first came out.. there were a some interview with Santa Cruz.. they quoted that they weren't interested in ebikes and they would never produce one.. funny how things change 😂😂😂

I can’t help but listen to all the Santa Cruz talk n think….. yea but the Amflow!
@sgtkurry20 сағат бұрын
Im with you. The amflow is a better value, lighter and more powerful. Suspension performance might be slightly lacking but you have a lot of room to make improvements and still be under the weight of the santa cruz.

You people or lucky to have it available. Us US customers are getting shafted on both the aglow and pinion front.

Only downside from bosch is the battery layout, how hard is to show 10 lines. Just for the peace on mind.

Closely resembles the Santa Cruz Vala.

Can't find any of the news in North America Trek. Not as a dealer or for the public. Strange...

I run mudguards front and rear when the weather's grim. Not fussed about looking cool or not, having mud being flung at the back of your head is not cool. When you're sat on the bike you cant see the back mudguard anyway ;)

We buy Santa Cruz for the VPP feel!!! And of course their superb after sales service. I have a 2022 Bronson.

New Rail looks good, but absolutely no reason to change my gen 4 Carbon Rail. It will be great if Bosch makes a new lighter battery for gen 4... but this will not happen, unfortunately. The most interesting thing on new Bosch gen 5 is new purion 400... hopefully, this will be compatible with gen 4 motor.
@amud1e15 сағат бұрын
The bosch batteries are 20% lighter on the gen5

I dont understand whay they are not putting the new 800wh battery with the new cx, santa cruz did the same thing too.

Gen 5 Rail is ugly compared to gen 4 tbh. Also they use bosch motor is basically same motor with 100 gram less and fatter powertube. So far meh imo, also they created the sag like frame and downtube which takes away Trek rails agressive look. Was looking to sell my gen 4 carbon rail for the new one. Ill just keep it i think
@sety40920 сағат бұрын
It def not worth between 1 generation. At this pace I’d be looking in 2 or 3 more
@Stockfish151119 сағат бұрын
@@sety409 Agreed. Plus on papper my gen 4 rail is still full carbon frame, looks nicer and its upgraded to hell. Its prolly worth 20k at this point xD

Bosch can't even make a reliable/durable Gen 2 ffs. I know because I am on my 5th and it is failing. BTW I'm 62
