Such a beautiful bike, but Triumph’s dash design department needs an overhaul
@nickbrigg52033 сағат бұрын
Yeah thought that dash would trickle down the range from the Trident to the 400s rather than up it to the bonnies. Royal Enfield have round TFTs on there cheaper bikes (e.g. Himalayan 450) that looks better than this unit, so it's definitely doable.

I’ve done 6,000 miles on my 23 Speed Twin 900, France, Belgium, Germany, around Scotland with some heavy rain, and a surprisingly quick track day at Mallory Park. It has been excellent, all round performance, handling and braking, all day comfortable. I would like a bigger tank, but with a surprisingly good average fuel consumption of 71.6 mpg, it has a touring tank range around 190 miles. I was keen to look at the update at the show. Nothing against upside-down forks, but the dents in the tank to clear the forks on full-lock look as if they have been done with a lump-hammer. The worst thing though is that seat. It is so narrow at the front that your knees feel as if they are out in the air and so far from the tank that they would have done better to widen the tank and give it a few more litres. The seat is much less comfortable than on the earlier bike. The mudguards are rubbish, I sorted that on mine with a fender-extender. Not sure that I want to buy this one, they’ve spoiled it. Shame.

I bought the first Triumph Street Scrambler (liquid-cooled 900) in Australia. As much as I loved the bike, it spent 3 months of the 24-month ownership period in the garage waiting for electronic parts to be replaced due to faults. I ride every day. I don't think European manufacturers understand the term reliability anymore or how embarrassing it is to have a traction control fail on a bike with less than 10,000km twice in two years mid-rides. I know it's a rant but it's the reason I won't buy a Triumph again. Not to mention that they decided to close more than half of their dealerships across Australia.

Aren't they made in India? I have a 23 and 24 1200 bonny with 15000 miles between them and no issues

Nice updates but that dash being slightly off-center is a no-go. T100 all day for me.

For me a major part of the appeal of these bikes had been the traditional styling. I love all the mechanical improvements but feel the new paint job doesn't fit the bike anymore.

You should do a top 10 video for your favorite bikes you've ridden throughout the year.
@gsr-600-gray77 сағат бұрын
The paintjob makes it looks like a royal enfield. Dont get me wrong the RE is a decent bike for that price point. But if you pay a higher price for a bike that looks cheaper its a bad deal.

My 2000 Thunderbird still has my heart, but at 68 this year , this machine has possibilities. Great review.
@JustinMaines29 минут бұрын
Hey MOTOBOB, do you know what's up with all of the 'dashes' being off to one side? Am I the only one who would prefer centered? Thanks for your review!
@MarkThomasson-t7j5 сағат бұрын
Great review, well done, again the dash is all you see when riding. Yamaha also had the small offset dash, it also wasn't for me.

You should not be looking at your dash at all when riding

the a f i need that cruise control on my street triple r it is the only performance bike in triumph without the cruise control...... is a new facelifted street triple on the horizon? or will this give the st3 r a cruise option for 2025

I'm 6ft 2, love the look of this bike but I'm worried it's going to be a bit cramped. Do you think this would be okay for me, or would I be more comfortable going to for trident 660 or even the tiger?
@larrynorsworthy85825 сағат бұрын
Im 5-9, have a 18 street twin. The pegs to seat distance is close. Real close. Youd better try one on for size.

Get a z900rs instead. Or a scrambler 1200

That single digital dash is not great. I love twin analog dials.

Okay this is all my personal preference but that paint job does nothing for me, I don’t like the black finish on the engine and I hate the dash 🇬🇧

Might as well buy a trident 660 lol

I love this new looks, But I hate that dash from Trident 660, I Prefer old dash from last model than this ugly digital dash

I prefer the old speed twin 900,looks more retro.
@max.fleming10457 сағат бұрын
Well, considering other comments this far & my own view I'd say that new dash is a big fail !. Why is it off centre & why is it only half TFT?. That seems just mean when I have a £40 vape, my bad, that has a TFT display nearly as large. Also that paint job on the tank is minging!.
@gucia_net35704 сағат бұрын
1 break disc, no quickshifter kills this bike for me, no 6th gear. For this price xsr900 was a much better deal for me.
@logangodofcandy3 сағат бұрын
It's butt ugly and it's a triple. Not really a comparison at all.

Unless they changed the wheel size, there isn’t much out there to swap out the tires with.

Triumph has clearly f***k up the classic look of the initial Street Twin lineup. Pity.

@gokhansancar38156 сағат бұрын
Why are they trying to imitate royal enfield? That paint job looks like RE, the digital dash looks ugly and its off center! The old street twin ec1 looks 10x better than this.
@exothermal.sprocket7 сағат бұрын
Price creep price creep price creep price creep. Sure it's better, they almost always are, but price creep. And so far, we already have 2 comments about dashes. No comments about engine, transmission, brakes, wheels, subframe, tank, paint color, nope. Dashes.
@deltaandD75166 сағат бұрын
Even RE did better dash than this with lower price... 😑
