I’ve not bought mine yet but think I will stick to the 2024 model. Don’t want or need all the gadgets! The new design tank is probably its best feature

Very nice how about tubeless Tyres, cruise and heated grips considering the price of these today compared to when first introduced in 2019 @ £8399, I believe they’re well in excess of 10k now.

"Wheelies across the desert" LOL, Chris what are you like.

I think positioning the fuel tank will not solve the problem, it could help a bit, but engine it's mounted very high, and the swingarm also, they made also some changes in the links, lets see how it works.

That’s a brilliant idea: wheelies in the desert! Let me call Yamaha Belgarda, they might be interested in. Chris, can I make your name to the folks in Lesmo (Monza)?😉

Waiting for the new world raid in 2026 with cruise controll and bigger fuel tank. That Will be a world travel beast
@LTS28018 сағат бұрын
I just really hope that they actually put cruise control on it. For some reason the Japanese seem to be totally uninterested to put cruise control on any middle class ADV. Not on the V-strom, not on the updated Transalp and now not on the updated Tenere. Considering they just went to throttle by wire, now would have been the perfect time to implement it and differentiate themselves from the rest of the japanese brands with minimal cost. Alas that is not the case and that has me worried for the World Raid as well. The baffling thing is that have put cruise control on bikes that aren't really suited for touring like the XSR900 GP (less so with the MT-09). I really don't get them. P.S. : Sorry for the rant.

Think its a good try but won't be trading in my 21 model for the new one. No cruise control is a big miss in my book. Anyone else think the new models not quite as handsome as the outgoing bike?

All the praise the bike got was for it's simplicity, usability and price? now it's just a top heavy KTM :P too many electronics to break and probably still super top heavy... they've always been.. since the 600. hope it's better than that, but shame they are making it so techy and probably even more expensive. (ofcourse i expect it to be more reliable than a KTM, but still.. just a bad KTM with a better color in my eyes, can't wait to try it tho.)

Glaringly missing are the cruise control and downshifting with the quickshifter. This should now be possible.

People crying about e-throttle systems: Look, computers are already doing a lot of work making your engine run. You cannot possibly operate a cable throttle fast enough to make the rear wheel power respond favorably in slippy conditions. An ECU can look at loss of traction hundreds of times a second and respond instantly. So all that remains is the geeks programming the 1's and 0's make sure to keep the throttle as "normal" as possible while still allowing the ECU to intervene traction if desired. Throttle by wire is simply greater throttle accuracy, greater full-circle reaction time (brain, wrist, instructions, throttle, wheel, and back to brain). "It's more tech, more complex, more stuff to go wrong!" No actually, it really isn't. It's less complicated. No bulky cables to break or need lubing, no dual-throttle-valve throttlebodies needed, no secondary servo-throttle trying to intervene ahead of manual-throttle. When is the last time you saw sensitive electronics breaking left and right? GoPro, iphone, Android, drones? Solid state electronics are durable and reliable.

Ride by wire but no cruise control. :-/

In before the "cruise control is a gimmick" crowd.
@exothermal.sprocket16 сағат бұрын
You can move your left arm all over the place while riding. What's so gimmicky about moving your RIGHT arm all around while riding? Would you rather have a dual-twist throttle, press a button and have your left arm operate the throttle a while? Switch back and forth? Talk about gimmicks. That would be equivalent to having a transmission shifter on both left and right feet, and pressing a button to switch which side shifts and which side brakes.
@2006Whippet15 сағат бұрын
@@exothermal.sprocket It always seems inevitable that in any motorcycle review where they point out that it doesn't have CC even though it's throttle by wire, you alway get the "yells at clouds" crowd chiming In that nobody needs CC, it's just a gimmick, they don't even use CC in their car, blah blah blah.
@exothermal.sprocket15 сағат бұрын
@@2006Whippet Cruise control was essentially a thing in the late 1960's on a few autos. It got adopted in mainstream automakers in the early 1970's during the fake "oil crisis". In other words, it's been around in commonality for 56 years on autos.
