yes indeed, the front design once again is not at the level of the rest of the bike. The top part is ok, but the bottom one, with all those headlights, I didn't like, it's still a good bike, but I think the current one is even better designed, more attractive,.. anyway,.. it's something that's been happening , and it's not just the Yamaha, just look at the Suzuki,.. which in my opinion in certain models is even more shocking,.. it's a shame,..

@@MrRui33333 The previous Tracer 9 was beautiful (in my humble opinion) - it had the glorious MT09 gen 2 headlight, but now the really manage to ruin the last beautiful bike in their lineup... P.S. Long time motorcyclist who never really used high beam at night because gloves and the switching was too much hassle for me. I happened to be a part of the development of the camera/high beam/low beam system which we call SmartBeam with Yamaha. We used an FJ for the initial development mule for the camera system and it really was a revelation having the bike automatically switch between low & high beam at night. And as stated, you can disable the system anytime you want to and just flip the high/low yourself without any hassle. We didn't have any of the matrix headlight - all that development was done by Yamaha with the headlight supplier.
@murraytrimmer2283 ай бұрын
Actually Bob if Yamaha want to make some improvements to the GT+ I would suggest the following. 1. Change the shape of the panniers to a more rectangular (user friendly) shape and change the split in the middle of each case to the top (when on its side) like a suit case lid. 2. The indicators need more than a single LED, they have the room to take 4 or 5. Have a look at the Triumph Tigers. 3. The hand guards should move independently from the levers, so you adjust each separate. 4. Longer mudguards. 5. Fully adjustable suspension. In A2 setting there is not enough rebound at the rear. In A1 mode there is enough rebound in the rear but the ride is too hard for a lot of roads. We need the flexibility to personalize the suspension to make a great bike a fantastic bike.
@myousic45643 ай бұрын
Yeah, hangduards in my 2022 9GT are mounted in the most stupid way. You can't set correct angle of levers because you have to move also handguards. I need to move levers down a bit but I can't because they hit tank when handlebars are near to lock. They added shitty looking lights an I think they will try to sell it for a lot of money lol.

Sadly I don't think Yamaha or any other brand is going to do this today. Regulations have made it impossible. They would lose profits and business. Engine development is the biggest expense and hurtle to overcome. If you've noticed, they make 5-6 models all running the same engine. Why? Too costly to develop specific engines for specific models and sell them. Japanese companies used to do that, about 30 years ago.

Certainly it is not a bad idea to update it, but in the same time there are not a lot of changes if we leave all that tech aside. Somehow they will get some new buyers, but I believe that they will also loose some older owners of the previous models. Opinions about styling are so different somehow. This is what I think and I am the Tracer 9 owner. :) Anyways... where is the FJR? That would really be a game changer. Anyways...

Basically an effortless clutch that modulates the actuator to actuate the clutch. I have some tendonitis in my clutch hand and ride dirt bikes a lot, so commuting through traffic is sort of the straw that breaks the camel's back for me.

Although I am not aesthetically impressed, I will have to agree with other older gentlemen whose eyes are failing them and prefer to see at night. Yamaha is to be congratulated on taking a slightly weird looking motorcycle and turning it into something hideously ugly. I'm actually quite shocked how they could get the styling around the front end so wrong. It's like the motorcycle equivalent of the SsangYong Rodius. My next bike is quite certain to be something in this approximate category (mid-size tall rounder / road biased ADV), but I wouldn't want to be seen dead on one of these, even when hidden by a crash helmet. It's such a shame as Yamaha seems to have addressed the few objections I had with the 2021 - 2024 model (display, switchgear, wind-screen). I never really liked the looks of the old one much, but on balance I would have put up with it if it weren't for the few aforementioned objections. I'm not even going to test ride this new monstrosity as I could never own one. A bike's looks are definitely not my priority, but flipping hell Yamaha, what were you all thinking??? It's even uglier than that really ugly bat-faced KTM, the one that's uglier than all the other already ugly KTMs. I reckon Triumph's new Tiger 800 will outsell this new Tracer 9 by ten-to-one, on looks alone.

This Radar, CMC, and ACC integration will work in conjunction with the Advanced Motorcycle Stability System (AMSS) - this millimeter wavelength radar was developed by Yamaha - initially as a two-axis mechanical HXYx/Hirokeikan system was adopted for SAR". Thanks for your video upload. That front facing camera, controlling braking and speed while in cruise control is incredibly frustrating in my car, as anyone cutting in, in front of you automatically gets detected and brakes come on. It doesn't automatically re-engaged the cruise control either once the distance between you and vehicle in front reaches the set amount, you have to press a button which is labelled resume to get things going again. This is not the case with my older car, and using cruise control can be stopped by braking, and then resumed. So more driver involvement is needed. I just hope the Yamaha doesn't have any of these issues otherwise it would be deal breaker and or a frustrating waste of money. The top of the line GT plus in the current model range is already about $27,000 Aus dollars. Which for a bike with and engine smaller than 1000cc seems a bit steep, heading into Aprillia, Benelli, Moto Guzzi territory. A head to head comparison with the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro may be useful, as it is a comparable price here perhaps even cheaper.
