What a cool 😎 model. Love the view reminds me of Back home, Australia 🇦🇺

Yes the T1 is a good little plane offering plenty of options. Very compact as it has the detachable wings and silent… mostly;)

I fly mine with 2004s and t props to keep amps down and a 2200 3s. Get about 15min of at about 70precent. Also I think you have to much travel on those servos. That’s why you get those bad wobble at speed. It has something to do with the speed of the servo communication to the fc. It happens to me and then I flip into manual and it flys fine. People typically put to much travel in servos because INav takes away a lot of travel during stabilized flight.

thanks for the hints on that! (On mine) Actually it's tzhe PIDs that are to high for the speed and overshoot. The solution is to set up the TPA correct to damp those PIDs on high speed ... and perhaps optimise some PIDs that might be to high after all :)

With that high kv and that prop combination, have you thought about trying 2s setup just to see what it does ?
@JustFPV-net2 жыл бұрын
Nope … indoor have any 2s batteries and would prefer to stay at 4s

Nice video, still waiting on the VTOL stuff being setup. I also wish that Heewing have a VTOL model instead of purchasing the regular PNP and the VTOL upgrade. Kinda makes it a bit on the expensive side for buying it the first time
@JustFPV-net2 жыл бұрын
Good advice: the vtol is not a good thing to start off with. So many things to tweak and get set up right that it’s very easy to end up in frustration. And besides that: VTOL is always expensive! The T1 PnP on the other hand is a brilliant and easy way to dive into that model. Perhaps a thing to consider. My vtol is still in the build as I mentioned in the video.
@AerialWaviator2 жыл бұрын
Starting with PNP, you end up with 2 exta motors, motor mounts and a tail boom. Not a lot of extra expense in the over scheme of a VTOL build. The HeeWing KIT is a total kit, as foam bits are post mold, so half need to be joined etc. KIT also lack some niceties like the wing quick connectors (required for VTOL build). The two largest expense items in VTOL build are the motor servos (mounts) and the flight controller. The rest is cheaper in comparison. If you want a cheap VTOL, a twin motor tail-sitter wing doesn't require motor tilt servos and special mounts. Only two servos, and two motors, plus flight controller. (but no one offers a PNP of this either)

that was a good answer - thank you

Motors and props seem a bit overkill. Perhaps ideal if wanting to fly square loops. That climb angle, LOL.
@JustFPV-net2 жыл бұрын
True ... at that point I was about to find the right motors that would drive my beloved Gemfan Flash 5x5 props in an reasonable way ... yet I guess it was raw power I got out of this combo. Not exactly the best choice for a 3s1p setup with aim on low amp draw. BUT YEAH ... That climb rate ;) ...

@@JustFPV-net This a VTOL warmup. If has vertical with greater than 1 thrust to weight ratio, could configure as tail-sitter in ardupilot. (fly as VTO, land normal)
@JustFPV-net2 жыл бұрын
hehehe ... I will have to complete a tremendous learning curve to make Ardupilot a friend currently- not because its bad! But more because I will have to understand so much in almost no time. Yet I would like to stay on the regular VTOL path ... the Tailsitter launch could on the other hand become something interesting for the F01 Powercruiser

@@JustFPV-net 5x5 might work fine on Tmotors 1507 2700kv
@JustFPV-net2 жыл бұрын
I skipped those to 1507 3600kv (present day) and spin 4x4.5 or such ... but yes, that would be an option. But I've made some more tests (yes, already finished the next two episodes ... sometimes I'm a busy bee on that behalf). Thanks for the suggestion, DJI Silesia :) (oh ... and exited about the action 3 btw?)

I have my T1 coming in the mail. I have some 2004 motors I want to try with 4 and 5 inch.

Cool - but keep in mind that the motor mounts are for the smaller motors. Hope you’ll have to same fun with it a i had and still have ;)

@@JustFPV-netI secured the motor mount with a zip tie. 2004 are perfect motors for this plane
@kjkareemslim Жыл бұрын
? Did you have to modify the motor mounts or just bolt on
@JustFPV-net Жыл бұрын
Had to assemble the mount first and then screw the motors on through the openings of the mount as the motors are to big to let you assemble it the normal way.
