Are you using the cable that came in the router box to connect to the ONT? I was getting the same speeds as yourself, but now getting 1gbps and the router (same router) is showing in the status that its only 1gbps. 2.5gbps is flashing away green on the ONT though.

Nice. One thing I worry about Youfire tho (im in teesside too) is the CGNAT for gaming. Someone said getting one of their Static IP packages for £5 extra sorts out the extra lag CGNAT would have in gaming, but also heard someone mention Youfibre Statis IPs are in USA? Not even sure what that means but that would mean even more lag no? Can you get a UK Static IP? Thanks for any help if you know mate.

Hi not sure about location of static ip but my ping is under 2ms. I can't get port forwarding to work on a dynamic ip. I'm in Peterlee BTW

Do you find it improves anything in real world use? Debating this or just save myself £20 a week with the You 1000

Hi Neil, everybody's experience will be different. For me upgrading has been worth it. The Asus router is night and day better than the awful Eero. The range of the Asus is double the Eero. I have a security camera than used to lose signal with the Eero, but not now. My ping has dropped from around 8ms to 2ms. You will probably need to upgrade your network (ethernet and switches). downloading stuff off the internet remain similar to the 1000gb package I had. If you upload stuff to KZbin you will notice it a lot.
