The drive by wire is actually really good with a aftermarket ECU, it's fun for anti lag, launch control ect. Look into it before deciding to get rid of it 😊

Drift motion makes a drive by wire delete kit for 20 bucks allowing you to take all of electronic motor and gears out . I’m sure you may know this because you seem well educated on 2jz’s but the wired throttle body basically acts like a sensor to send information to the ecu to move the electronic throttle body and gears to the amount of gas your giving to the pedal.

Vvti throttle bodies are drive by wire actuated, the cable is there as a fail safe incase the electric throttle motor fails it will allow 10% throttle control manually to limp the car to be serviced, dealing with issues with mine because the plug is old and damaged. They do make kits to swap them over to full manual control but think you lose control of your automatic trans shift functions

@@2jzboost760 actually works out to around the same price if you're going to a single turbo/standalone. Only real benefit is the vvti that comes with the 98+ 2jzgte's which helps with response. As for reliability, they're both just as good.

Please do a video on how you're going to change your coils from 3 to 6. Remember that those stock 3 jumper coils do not have an internel igniter, so they will need to be hard wired in. I have the same motor in my GS300 with a R154 Trans. I dynoed at 550whp with a Single Borg Warner s366

It’s pretty straightforward if you’re familiar with wiring. Each coil pack has four terminals: +12v, gnd, trigger, and IGF. You won’t use the IGF (it’s how the stock ecu detects a misfire). So you run common +12v and ground to each COP and an individual trigger from your ecu to each COP. There’s 2JZ brackets available for 1NZ, R34, VAG, and LQ9 coils. I’m running 1NZ myself, and make sure you either buy them from Toyota directly or you pull them from a wrecked Yaris because the market is flooded with FAKE coils.

Just take the rearsump from the GE and drill a return hole to it, it's exactly the same sump but without the hole drilled.
