I’m considering trading my Elantra Sport manual and my 08 Mustang GT for a WRX. Right now the Elantra is my daily and the mustang is a weekend car. Do you think the WRX is a good substitute to replace both? I’ve been watching your videos for awhile. Great content btw.

i used to have an elantra sport and modified it (see videos) That car does not belong in the same league with wrx/sti, so no comparison really. Mustangs are good, but the best (in my opinion) are the new (2015+) 5.0, so I personally don't care for any other models, but I am sure they are solid cars. Cannot compare to a wrx though. Apples to oranges... You will be bored with a stock wrx initially, and disappointed in many ways, but that changes as you start to mod it. It's too soft, too quiet, and visually unappealing in stock form, especially on 17" rims. Just keep this in mind if/when you get one. Make sure you get a new one, so lease it (sell your other two privately, don't trade them). People abuse these cars so I would not get a used one, ever. Be prepared to dump a ton of money into mods, otherwise don't do it and look elsewhere.

TheShaddix Yeah I’ve seen your old videos on the ES. I also had a 2016 5.0 and got bored with it after a couple years. I modded the outside fairly heavily but everyone does the same thing to those cars and it’s hard to stand out. I want something I can make my own and be different

TheShaddix Well if I swap out 2 cars for 1 I save money in total and I’d want something to fill the shoes of both. I need something decent on gas mileage to daily it but still want something fun. It being AWD is nice too if we do get inclement weather.

TheShaddix Whatever I end up with I want to do some simple mods, like lowering it, wheels, some exterior parts, and an exhaust. Really don’t plan on tuning anything or dropping over $1k on suspension.
