I’ve heard multiple times how Rhinehart 3D targets are probably the best you can get….but their expensive. I’m a traditional guy shooting a 45# recurve so I’m asking for the Big shooter buck 3D target for $120 for Xmas. This will be my first 3D target so I have no experience with them but I would almost guarantee traditional bows like recurves and longbows do WAY less damage to the targets compared to compounds that shoot double the speed and higher draw weights. I hope I’m right.

Yes, from what I’ve experienced, compounds chew through even the toughest, like the rhineharts, within months. However, there was a point where I just shot broadheads at it for maybe a month and that definitely took a toll. So if I just stuck to field points, I’m sure it would’ve lasted much longer. You can also get replaceable inserts with them instead of replacing the entire target.
