The chug zone is 9.3 meters, over the course of the race... the beer milers cover 37+ meters walking through the chug zone. Though Bellemore covered the running part in 4:00...that is for 1563 meters. In the beer mile, 4 flat in the running sections equates to about 4:05.1 mile pace.

17 years ago, there were some young Germans in FL that organized a slower less intense endurance event that they called a Octoberfest Run (can't remember the precise name, it was just a couple of guys in a park, haven't been able to find it on google) ... It was a Beer/Brat w/bun/Mile x 7... at the time, I assumed it was a standardized thing in Bavaria, but haven't been able to find out anything more about it... Does anybody know anything about this??? or witnessed anything similar to this??

They measure the leftover beer in each bottle and ensure it's less than 4oz total across all bottles. That's why the athletes put their bottles in a basket when they take off to run the lap

They should used the same brand of beer. Otherwise one beer can be down faster then the others. With budlight, I can't even down it. Blue moon I can down it faster for some reason. Then again, Budweiser I can down it easily. If anyone can explain please do. But my point is same beer across all runners and this will definitely make or break alot of runners. Just my opinion

If you keep them super cold and tilt the bottle at the right angle, it minimizes the amount of foam. There's still a little foam left in the bottles which is why the remaining foam is measured at the end of the race for each racer to make sure they are under the allowed amount leftover.
