Watching where you are diagnosing Row 8 of the planter. As a 39 year computer pro, we learned early on this saying: "Don't piss off the computers. They all belong to the same union, and they will all stop working." As your J.D. equipment is all interconnected now, that probably extends to farm equipment also. As soon as row 9 started planting low I said to myself "you've got a plug in the delivery tube." I planted a lot of the Asgrow this year and I had to clean out 4 seed treatment clumps that were blocking the delivery tube inlets this year during planting, and it's not fun or easy pulling those tubes off the bottom of the central seed tanks. I don't know what Asgrow changed in their seed treatment process, but I didn't have any clumps last year.

There’s a lot of guys starting to cut back on population. I don’t think we are quite sold on that idea. The extra plants are like cheap insurance, but the question is if we are limiting top-end yield by doing so.
@allenwalters9068 Жыл бұрын
@aTrippyFarmer we've had 94 bpa beans on 135 planted 125 actual, stems like trees, 36x6s, seems every year either field viee breaking it out that 125 to 135 is where the beat yield has been, but im like your more for insurance helps, we had some r0 inch rows at 90000 even spaced in 14 went 74 compared to 15s at 145 went 64. Planted later by 2.5 weeks. I hated them at 90 dang thin them stems were a Xmas tree but cranked out the yield. Our darker wetter gourd we slstill keep it at 145 due to ponding issues, where it can drain aboit 115 to 135, deer issues get 165 period
@aTrippyFarmer Жыл бұрын
@@allenwalters9068 i do think spacing/singulation is more important with lower populations. I plant like I’m spilling the beans, so I wouldn’t be comfortable dropping pop without going much slower.
