We have started a brand new build with a new 2024 Land Cruiser 79 Series V8 Single Cab.
We start rigging a new overlanding beast with a proper suspension setup and 35 inch tyres.
This build is going to be epic!
We can't wait to go touring.

It looks awesome!! I want to see a full aussie touch on it. Tray and canopy set up would look fantastic I recon. Will probably be the only one in SA if you do decide to do that. Can't wait to see the future build episodes

Looks awesome, and Superior Engineering gear is the best, I hope you plan top change the snorkel to one that is sealed, unlike the OME Toyota snorkel. Looking forward to watching the build.

Looks lekker! We have a Fortuner 4x4 as a family ride and family camping vehicle, but wasn't sure between a Hilux or Land Cruiser for myself. Definitely Land Cruiser now!

I saw this beast at Woodlands Mall this weekend. What you have done with that lift is just amazing, those 35inch are a monster. Can you please pimp my DC 4.2 Cruiser 🙏

I'm still wondering if i like the new look of the cruisers... Maybe it will grow on me... It looks more like an army truck than a cruiser.... But wow after the lift and new wheels this machine stands tall ... I'm happy to see there's going to be some redarc power system going in. What a game changer..... Wishing you many awesome miles with it .... Can't wait to watch the next episode. Keep it going Kenneth

I think like everything you eventually get use to it and forget about the old 😉 Can’t wait to fit the RedArc again but we first need to do something spectacular with the back of the single cab 😉 Thanks for following the journey with us!!!!

What do you think about the 35x12.50r17 Yokohama Geolandar G017 XD AT tyre(light weight, 3PMSF, durable commercial grade rubber compound, moderately aggressive tread block design) and 17x8.5 Method 703 Beadgrip wheel, where you aware of these options before your purchase of your current setup, if you where aware, was it availability, price, preference, how did you make your decisions ?????

Looks very good. Can I ask a random question: What (besides and new bonnet & lights) has toyota given to you that you didn't have in your last 79?
@GunnlandExplores

Absolutely the bloody minimum haha but that’s part of why we love it!! Everything always works so well aren’t on the lookout for major changes - in fact we prefer it to stay in its Legendary status. Our main reason for the new 79 is we wanted a fresh build on a new vehicle, that’s all. Also like anything, our content is pretty vehicle related so we thought it’s a good option for our content moving forward 😊

The new 79 really is an acquired taste 💯 i'm gonna be here throughout the series ❤️ Quick question, is it a 4.5 or 2.8 LX V8?
@GunnlandExplores

Looks great!!! Why not the 2.8auto?
@GunnlandExplores
@GunnlandExplores 8 ай бұрын
My opinion: If it was a working 79 (on a farm) I would go 2.8 and keep it stock but with adding 35s and building a rig that pushes 4tons I think the V8 will be way more capable and reliable. Also the V8 sounds so much better 😜
