I have a Lvl 70 Aalto and I can say his kit is weirdly broken if you look at it throughly. 8 secs skill that taunts enemy with a 10 sec cooldown at S1(stupidly powerful taunt mechanic that works on bosses), At S3 he gains double damage of all basic attacks that passes through the Mist, it means Mid Air atk with 59% multiplier at Lvl 10 will be convereted to 118% spammable rapid bullets. His Ult gives a flat 10% atk multiplier to all bullets that passes through the Quandry which means Rapid bullets with 59% gets converted to 69% x 2(with S3) also, I believe it works with Chixia coz I can see the ripple animation whenever chixia shoot trough the mist. Now pair him with Moonlit Sanhua and you get a ridiculous basic attack nuke. However he has Outro, S6 and inherit skill that are useless to his kit.

The taunt is super impactful yeah! Although it makes it hard for you to actually dodge counter so you don't get the powerful counter shot 😅 I tested S3 out and I'm positive it's actually only a 50% DPS increase (25% per bullet), still strong though! S6 also gives you an additional 8% crit rate to attacks that go through it which is a nice buff! Oh yeah good catch on his Ult working on other pistol characters too, I didn't really think about this. His Outro could work to buff other Aero characters like Yangyang or Jianxin as another DPs char so not terrible I'd say. The Heavy Attack stuff seems pretty gimmicky but it makes me want to try it though 😂

Wait is that how his ult damage bonus works? I thought it just gave +10% ATK bonus to shots that go through it, if you’re right that it applies to the multiplier instead of your ATK stat than the ult is a way better ability than I thought. Also, yes, Chixia’s bullets do get buffed through the ult. I also heard that it actually works with any weapon (even melee/rectifier), as long as the hitbox collides with both the ult hitbox and the enemy hurtbox then it will be buffed, although I haven’t tested it yet. Edit: I just did the math and the ult is in fact a +10% ATK bonus like I thought, not a flat bonus to skill multiplier like you said. Which means the ult bonus is quite ass, it’ll usually translate to less than 5% total damage output.

@@Alecajuice The Ult take 10% of his attack and add them to any attack that collides with the gate. I've tested this out with 1.5k ATK alto buffing lv 1 character, the lv1 deal almost triples the damage.

@@XiaZ I just tested it out the same way you said, and you’re right that it’s Aalto’s ATK being added, but it turns out it’s Aalto’s Base ATK, not his total ATK. The way it works is it takes 10% of Aalto’s base ATK and adds it to the ATK of the attacking character as a flat ATK bonus. So he’s actually kind of like Bennett from Genshin, except his multiplier is absolutely ass (10% vs. >100% at max level). I tested it out with 417 base ATK Aalto and 62 total ATK Lingyang doing plunge attacks. Lingyang does 14 damage without the buff and 22 damage with. This calculation works out, barring a little bit of rounding error. I then tried the same test but equipping Aalto with a bunch of ATK% echoes, and the result was the exact same. If it was total ATK scaling instead of base ATK the damage should have gone up to 31 instead. Doing a third test giving Lingyang the ATK% echoes instead reveals that the bonus is added to the Lingyang’s total ATK, not his base ATK.

​​@dracgamingch Aalto is my 2nd team dps because I got 4dups of him while I was pulling for ElectroMommy. Very broken along with sanhua. You'll just use sanhua for parry then put down all of her skills then Switch. You'll have her Normal attack buff along with monlit buff. Not to mention you only need like 2sec for sanhua after the switch parry.

Personally I levelled up ALL my 12 characters to the point of being at least usable. And I have a great time playing all of them. I don't care that I'll have to wait somewhat longer to have top-invested characters. I doesn't bother me that I might struggle with a small fraction of end game content. I more enjoy the game by NOT rushing it. Since I enjoy, I'll continue to play and I'll get there either way -> only more enjoyment for me.

I was using Aalto to farm for echos at level 1 last week prior to UL 40. Using Jiyan’s echos he was able to completely destroy enemies at level 50+ with only 30 crit hit 200 crit dmg using Mortefi’s Energy Regen weapon. Now all sudden I see quite a few CC making videos of Aalto.

aalto, yangyang, and sanhua are my favorite kit designs. Despite being 4*s they really don't feel like they were brushed off on the design as 4*s. Really nice to see that Aalto has some usability and combos to make him usable, was really discouraged to use him because all the theory crafters said he was the worst. oh same stuff fyi, you can also start chracter with the 3rd basic attk when you swap out chracter during combat without using intro too, except for claymore. Good for chracter like yang yang who need to finish her 4 basic for 1 forte stack.

About the mist trick, you can actually do it on the ground without the jump. Just go through the mist and attack right away instead of charging the mist bullets.

hmm I haven't really looked into Mortefi yet so not sure! I like Aalto's playstyle cause it's so fast and mobile, see which one you like! He recovers it at a decent rate I guess, not super fast. the more of his mechanics you use the faster it regens (like his Mist Bullets)

The problem is it's bugged. When you do mid-air, you only get 1 mist drop per jump, meaning you are missing 4 drops per combo, bringing the actual dps closer to just doing a normal basic attack combo but now you are consuming a lot of stamina and harder to perform.

Yea you get a lot lesser mist drops this way, but the dps is way higher to compensate! Not sure if it's cause of a bug or was intended. His mid-air scaling is high enough that I believe this actually does more dps :)

I did compare the two and it seemed like mid air did slightly more cause you hit way faster, plus the more BA% you scale the more it should outclass the mist bullet focused build I think!

@@dracgamingch the time it take you to perform 1 attack sequence is almost the same as jump attack 2 time, around 4 attacks each jump, and when you count all the multiplier they added up to almost the same damage. So you lost stamina and mist bullets but gain almost nothing in return.

Using mid air attacks on Pistol characters is not really a thing no? I think the most important tech here is keeping Mist up and continually mid air attacking through it, which you can do with the Mistcloak dash into BA3!

Doing this without the mechanic of creating Mist fast after a Mistcloak dash doesn't feel very good though, since there's a big Mist downtime
