Metal sonic alone is a better 06. And the future of the hacks of this game will look brighter than ever. Not as bright as Mario 64 rom hacks but still. Now all we need is to fix big the cat, and this game is essentially perfect.

Although I would love Big's levels/gameplay to be fixed, I also want Amy's gameplay to be fixed. She is way to slow and her special ability either stops her in her tracks, or sends her flying. I honestly prefer Big's levels over Amy's. His levels are still bad and need to be fixed though.

I love Sonic’s new maneuverability, and the fact that Hyper Sonic can fly. Shadow’s pretty cool too, but he’s definitely the most underwhelming. And Metal is just really interesting. One thing I’d like to see though, is the meter. I think it’d be a good idea for the meter to not deplete in the overworld, kinda like how the boost doesn’t deplete in Sonic Generations. It’d be fun to just screw around in Station Square to my heart’s content

Dude, you don't need a gaming PC to run SADX, your Smartphone could run the game (The original Dreamcast version was released in 1998 and the DX Re-release was released in 2003) I could run the game with NO GPU and still get 60 FPS

I don't think it is. The mod was a bit of a pain to get running. And yeah, the creator sounds like he's going to be making a large scale thing out of this! So new levels and stuff are on the horizon I assume. And if this game does get the Mario 64 treatment, we're in for quite the ride.

Shadow was never confirmed to being a hero, he just remembered Maria didn’t want a genocide or an extinction done in her name. A heroic act, but it doesn’t mean Shadow learned how to be a hero, he just learned his friend hadn’t wanted him to be a monster. Amnesia is also a decent reason for a “weapon” to be a shady “edge”-hog. Psychologically speaking, his slight moral and personality change, as well as his amnesia, are to be expected from the fall he took.

Actually I honestly believe they ARE the Chaos Emeralds, and there's plenty of evidence to justify this; There are seven of them, they all match the exact colors of the Chaos Emeralds, and it was cut from the final release but there was an 8th gem called the Rainbow Gem which was unlocked by collecting all 7 gems and using it would have turned Sonic into Super Sonic for use in regular stages

1:42 yeah I know the mod which makes the game harder ("expert mode") and I also felt it was a little too spammy especially in certain areas. I am working on my own "hard mode" edits for stages in DX which are less spammy and imo, more authentic. I'll let you know when Emerald Coast hard mode is out so you can try it if you like :) Kudos to the guy who made that expert mod though because he did a lot of work, every stage, and he changed geometry not just sets, so big up even if the end product wasn't quite for me!

I really want to see a mod for SA2 that completes the unused Super Sonic and Super Shadow in 2 player mode. It was originally supposed to be unlocked by A ranking Green Hill. They would be extremely fast, have better attacks and abilities, lose a ring every second, and die if they lose all rings.

The only complaint i have is that i personally think Metal and Shadow should use their Sonic Adventure models, just to fit in a bit better with the game. (though, you did say that the mod maker said that this was part of a bigger mod, so maybe the bigger mod matches the modern models more? Dunno.)
