Pretty nice saw blade George, and great start to your project. We have started to lose our seasonal birds also, but it’s been a bit cooler in the morning and that brings out the blue jays.

I haven't seen the blue jays yet, but noticed all the leaves falling now too. Thanks for stopping by.

I used to work for an electrical sub contractor and I was always the one who crawled under the building. I really hated that. But when it's your place things have to be done. Thanks for the video

I hear you Larry, this will definitely make my work a little easier for sure.

That is so much better of an access opening for under the house. Great job George

A lot of hard work George. Just take a little at a time and you'll have it done in no time. That was a good decision to open up the other end of the house, sure will save a lot of belly crawling. Getting old is not for sissies, it's a challenge, I know I'm with you.

We think alike Ken. I actually took the day off today to recover from this part of the project. Hopefully I'll get the door done tomorrow after I get home from the dump and picking up a lawnmower I loaned out a couple of weeks ago. Time and energy go so fast these days. Thanks my friend.

Ambitious project George. But I can see why you wanted better access to make under house jobs easier. Nice work indeed. :)

Good old George still hard at it. No couch potato here. Bless you sir.

I try not to be a couch potato, though I confess to taking the day off today since I was pretty sore after this hard days word. Thanks Dave

Nice work George, those blades are nice!!
@TheShadeTreeFixitMan3 ай бұрын
They are well worth the investment and I only used 2 blades to accomplish the task. I used two saws to allow one to rest and the blade cool down while I continued to work. Thanks for stopping by Tom.

Nice work George.....blade is awesome... Man the older I get the less I want to go into crawl spaces .. I've been in buildings in NYC deep in their bowels and use too love doing it... Boilers and heaters...all kinds of plumbing... Very hard work the people who do it today earn every penny they make.
@TheShadeTreeFixitMan3 ай бұрын
Plumbing is not the most fun job in the world, and working conditions can make it worse. I don't mind doing it, but getting to it is the issue as I get older (?) Thanks for stopping by

you did a great job on that,, I order a lot of stuff from temu most of it is very good.
@TheShadeTreeFixitMan3 ай бұрын
I only used 2 blades in the process and probably could have done it with one, but I chose to alternate between saws to allow both the saw and the blade to cool down. Thanks Vernon

Great work George. Thank you for showing the blades. I have a couple projects that need one. Glad you'll have easier access to your plumbing too.
@TheShadeTreeFixitMan3 ай бұрын
These blades are just right for this kind of project as they are long enough to cut all the way through the blocks. A circular cutter would have to work from both sides unless it was humongous and then it would be too big to handle and couldn't finish the job. Thanks for stopping by

Looks great George ! I have to replace my door going under my house before winter , it has a case of rotten
@TheShadeTreeFixitMan3 ай бұрын
Thanks Norman, as I said the first door was just an open hole with an old sign laid up against it when we bought the place. This project has been on my mind for a long time, and these saw blades made it seem more doable for this old guy. Make sure you use pressure treated lumber when you do replace your door, no sense doing it twice!

Being able to crawl under the house will be so much easier that big unit that’s next to the old acres door under the house is that unit your central air conditioning unit

might be worth wirng a light under there to make it easier to see inside there when your doing work in there george put a switch just inside near the door
@TheShadeTreeFixitMan3 ай бұрын
I fully intend to put a light or 2 in there, having worked in there already. Having to hold a light while trying to work is counterproductive. Thanks so much Mr Greeen. Is GreeenJ an abbreviation for GreenJeans?
