That Triton 500 looks like it'll be a pretty solid option in the mid-high end laptop market. I think that'd be the one you should review if you only could pick one as it's the one most consumers would end up buying.

DN KRISH well, if ultra graphics isn’t what you want, I don’t request either of those, those both are crazy powerful laptops, if you just want to play on medium, I recommend the 2018 Acer Nitro 5 with the 1050ti, that will play games on medium setting really good.

Check the MSI GE75 9SF Raider it comes with i7-9750h and from gtx 1660ti to 2080 max q, and it has a really great speakers and a nice display with good thermal solution. Or u can wait and see what the Helios 300 has to offer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was thinking to purchase Triton 500 but I gave up because I read from the consumer reviews that all of them have issues with backlight bleed on the displays. Then I saw on Bob’s channel that the problem is that they made the bezels too thin and they tightened the display too strongly and the backlight is actually not from the display but the light in the back that lights the lid of the laptop. And from what I see all their other products have the similar new thin bezels with cut corners up to which Im hoping will not bring the same problem from the Triton 500 to their Helios and Nitro series laptops as well.So my overall thought is If Im already going to pay 2000 dollars for a laptop with backlight bleed + the upside motherboard then Ill pay extra 300-400 and get a Razerblade.

Disappointing that Helios 300 still suffers from high temps despite cooling design change. Nitro 5 and Nitro 7 doesn't have cooling upgrade either - suffer from bad thermals too similar to the older Nitro 5 (despite 1 more heatpipe for 1660TI GPU), though Nitro 7 does slightly better due to metal build Worried about longevity of the mechanism in Helios 700. Loved the Triton 500 - comes with MUX switch (GSYNC or ~6 hrs battery life), 90W variant GPU, build quality and cooling not bad for a thin and light (even better than Helios 300 and Nitro 5/7...)

This would be interesting to compare new helios 300 RTX2060/GTX1660 vs Asus new ROG Strix G line-up which also use same graphic card and new 9th gen CPU ( they have much more better desire than last year even ROG still look weird for me). While Acer new helios 300 still not sell in my country yet, the price they listed in a local event in my country is nearly about same as Asus ROG strix G. I gonna upgrade my laptop this year so i would like to hear your opinion. Both of them look thinner than last year and with that much power they carry, the thermal really concern me.

The Acer Nitro is a very excellent laptop while being budget friendly with a fantastic IPS display. My two negatives are that 15.6 seems to be the only display size Acer is using for the Nitro series (17.3 would be much better gives and consumers more screen choices since people do like the larger displays) and the audio for the laptop is pretty bad and needs a complete overhaul. I just find the speakers have horrible audio quality and the Dolby Audio EQ software is one of the worst EQ softwares available. If audio quality is a big thing for you on a laptop don’t bother with this model. I own a 2013 Asus N750 series laptop that has better EQ software and internal speakers than my 2018 Acer Nitro.

On desktop CPUs, yes as Intel are still struggling to rollout 10nm until recently (not to mention the latest vulrenabilities of their CPU line-up) while AMD are now at 7nm process.

On the laptop side the AMD options aren't quite there yet, the 3750h is a little behind the i5-8300h for reference, I'll be comparing them in a future video.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the 1660ti variant of nitro 5 and helios 300? Is the cooling system of helios 300 better and thats it or am i missing something?

I'll compare both once I have them, but yeah similar specs so may perform pretty closely, we'll have to see.

I was actually planning to get the helios 300 for a while and they released the 2019 version when i was about to buy it but the 2019 version isnt released in my country yet and i highly doubt it will be released in next 2-3 months. Do you think i should wait or buy the old version of helios 300

@@sanjays6315 i asked the show room and they said the helios 300 2019 model is available in nepal. No doubt im going for the 1660ti model. Its almost same price as older model plus cooling problem is solved rgb light installed and 9th gen i7 cpu. Only a fool would buy the older one bro dont be a fool

Helios 700 please for review. Looking for a 17" laptop with Gsync sub £3000 so keen to see how this performs compared to Asus Zephyrus S . Shame they dont do a helios 500 with new RTX cards and I9 chip

If possible I'm also considering the Scar II or III so a comparison and performance difference for the money would be a great help. I travel a lot but still want a 17! So want something to perform well as it's my whole entertainment when away but not too slim that it suffers from thermal throttling all the time. Eagerly awaiting more content!

If they had installed a SD in these notebooks, the price would have skyrocketed, off course they are expensive, but that would make them practically a thing that only the richest would be able to buy ( obvious exaggeration, but I think that you will get my point ).

Don't think it adds too much cost, but I guess for a low end gaming laptop they need to keep it as cheap as possible by only including core features

Dellienware's Area-51m solution really sucks in hindsight. Though it's an improvement, the cooling still sucks. Really love what Acer and MSI have shown. Too bad they're soldered GPUs which is a deal breaker.
