Thank you so much for this video. My default DX cluster stopped working, and I usually work POTA, and this is perfect! Man, this will save a lot of time logging. All the best. I hope to work with you on the air sometime. 73s

Great information as usual. I'll be adding this tomorrow to my logging software. Great catching you on the radio the other day.

Wow, love it. Works very nicely with N3FJP. Thanks Mike.

How do you add to N3FJP

Works in LOG4OM, Thanks !!!

That is awesome since I use Log4OM. Now I will have to learn how to use more features of the software.

How did you get the configuration in log4om?
@LeeMcc_KI5YPRАй бұрын
That just made clusters interesting for me. Thanks, Lord Tube. 👍

Added this to HRD Logbook DX Cluster. Agree it does show some off spots but much better than nothing! 73

Nice to see a purpose built POTA cluster for multiple modes. I've been doing most of this with Gridtracker and FT8 connected to Log4OM for a few years SSB/Phone or CW is a different ball game. To get POTA only I have to set a filter in Gridtracker. WSJT-X Log4OM and Gridtracker all communicate and when someone pops up POTA in grid tracker (FT8) I click on them or in WSJT-x and when complete it logs to Log4OM.

Good one Mike. I am adding it to my HRD log. I just have to figure out how to see only the POTA when I want to hunt. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks.

There is a specific command for this dxspider node that let you set filter only for POTA spots. Once you are logged in it will be displayed in the welcome message.
@AndreaTimpyАй бұрын
Users that are not interested in receiving the general spot, but only want to see the POTA spots, can easily configure a filter executing this command on the telnet terminal while connected to my node: "ACC/SPOTS INFO -POTA-" (without quotes). or they can configure a filter in their logging software by allowing only spots with the tag [-POTA-] in the comment field of the spot. This is well explained in the welcome banner you receive after connecting to the node.

Looks handy. There is an extension for most browsers that will let you send the frequency from a POTA page spot through your logging program to your radio. Been meaning to set it up but haven't gotten to it. This may usurp that.
@hamradiotubeАй бұрын
That sounds way more complicated, at least for a not so smart guy like me.
@aa3konthegoАй бұрын
@@hamradiotube smart or not if I think it's complicated, it probably is! And the extension solution appears a little tricky. I would prefer to have a solution within my logger (DxLabSuite) that's only running when I intend to use it. I'll post the other solution here for reference.

SOTA spots are now active in experimental mode, pls report any issue to sysop
@GharacDuracАй бұрын
you can do that with all clusters. Set a filter on a cluster of your choice and it works well. The so called "pota cluster" is connected to the dx network and you get a lot of non pota spots. Useless.

@todivefor47Ай бұрын
@@ravanture I tried that, but didn't work for me. I'm no dxspider expert, so maybe I'm doing something wrong? filter1 accept info -pota- (this didn't come out right, hyphen pota hyphen) filter2 accept by_state dc,de,md,nj,ny,oh,pa,wv Peter, WB3IZU
