Dope! Had a black/black 2009 MDX Tech and loved it! Now I have a 2016 MDX Advance and it drives like a dream. This will be a 200k+ miles keeper for sure.

I have a 2007 mdx. Im at 250k miles still runs strong. Havent had to do much but it is showing signs of trans issues and have some common j series oil leaks. I fixed the oil filter housing leak so far. I have a few air blend motors going but it drives, has no codes, runs great…keeps hauling the family and friends. In last 100k ive inly replaced one blend door actuator, a brake caliper seized (replaced with a salvage yard one) a radiator, starter, one o2 sensor pre cat. Bu lt thats it i think. Just maintenance. Pads rotors, i do a 3 quart drain and fill of the trans every 25k, did the rear diff fluid once, and transfer case fluid. It still leaks a few drops of oil from oil pan gasket and maybe rear main seal but i dont even need to too up between oil changes so it is what it is for now. Tie rods starting to show slight play shows up slightly in steering but i just get to it when i get to it. I haven’t put a lot of money jnto it. Oh i did do a timjng belt / water pump replacement but did it myself so wasnt expensive. Bought for 6k with 150k miles like 6-7 years ago. Been through so many adventures. Shreds through snow with mich defenders

Have you had any issues with updating the clock? Mine won’t let me change the time.. it’s also a 2007
@tsw80810 ай бұрын
Unplug the clock fuse at 12:30. Then wait and connect the fuse at 1:00. I think it is fuse number 10 driver side compartment.

Do love the j37. Any oil burning issues in either of them?
@theacuraguy1601 Жыл бұрын
Yes I do have some oil consumption on my TL, about a half quart to a quart between each oil change. I have not noticed anything with the MDX as of yet, but it is a common occurrence with these engines unfortunately. Aside from that they are phenomenal!
@hellixity Жыл бұрын
Only the 2010- 2013 models burn oil due to the higher compression ratio. And the poor piston rings. The 2007- 2009 are the most reliable
@tigrantashjian1305 Жыл бұрын
@@theacuraguy1601the 07-09 mdx is not known for oil burning. I have an 07 with 180k miles and I lose around 1/4 of a quart between oil changes. But I also have an oil leak so it burns a very minimal amount.
