As someone who runs as a hobby, having that tech in the heel encourages heel-striking which makes you prone to some injuries more than midfoot or forefoot striking. I'd like to see a version where the 4d is forefoot only. I could really only see this as a good casual shoe.

For sure, I ran all the way through high school and now in college and it still confuses me when shoe company’s put so much effort into the heel when you really shouldn’t be landing on it in the first place

Could be dangerous for lateral movements. These lattices will break at some point. Basically what stress test had been performed for these pairs under bb movements? Caging these lattices defeat the purpose of compression. Overall, 3D plastics contribute to the weight.

@@john.k8787 so I got the ones I said. And I love em still. Wear a lot and they still look fresh. Then I got the grey and ones on sale at adidas and they felt a bit different. But have worn them yet. So maybe they will break in and feel more comfortable. But my black ones best shoe I’ve ever had.

Great looking shoe! :) I want them, can't find them, only the light green, yellow one, 4d is yellow, maybe you saw that color, they are ugly, but maybe i'll buy them😁😁Are there any cons? And are they durable? I have a problem with ultraboosts, like becoming yellowish, oxidation, and rubber down not last long, and using them only for walking🤷🏻‍♂️

I love what Adidas is doing with their 4D midsoles; what I don’t like are their uppers. I wish they would just go back to using simple primeknit in clean designs. They are too busy with too much fuse overlays and plastics. The 4D will never be a preferred running shoes for real runners, so stop designing them like running shoes.
